About mountain rocks and love.

"What are men to rocks and mountains?"

I'm currently reading Pride and Prejudice for like, the 5th time maybe. There is something with me I am sure, that, when there's something I like, I enjoy so much repeating it, re-reading it, re-watching it, etc. Like, I won't get bored. Every time I get that book for a re-read I open it with a bit of a doubt "Are you serious, Iveth? Are you honestly reading this again?" but then I just have to read the couple first paragraphs to be hooked again and sure of the fact that I'll enjoy it.

Anyway, I mentioned that because the title of the blog post which is about a bit of my rocks and mountain collection and also about love and it reminded me of the phrase up there, one of my faves from the book.

OK then. Lately I've been having lots of very special orders. There's a particular kind that is sure to bring extra excitement to my work days because these pieces are meant to carry so much love and significance and emotions that I get caught in the middle of them. I've been making a couple engagement rings, wedding rings and wedding jewellery in general for several dear customers lately and they agree that my rocks and mountains collection is perfect for the occasion!

I feel so extremely lucky when the customer for an engagement ring writes me back telling the stories of the proposal. Or when a bride tells me she's getting this piece of jewellery to wear on her wedding day. Or when a couple is so excited about these wedding rings. It is just so special, to think this piece of jewellery I made signifies so much to someone. It blows my mind.

Here are some photos of some of the pieces I've been working on lately, Like these pair of wedding rings for a local couple. She wanted the Desert Rock ring and he wanted his to match hers.

And this Desert Rock ring for another local customer who proposed in Paris and sent me this wonderful photo. I also made his fiancee wedding ring (not pictured): a simple oxidized band to complement her Desert Rock ring.

And then, one of the customers that has supported my work since the beginning is getting married and wants to wear her favourite earrings of mine but with a touch of something special, so I made the Desert Rock stud earrings in rose gold for her.

So you see, mountain rocks and love. Thank you so much for reading this, and for making me part of your stories.
Iveth

The shop is open, yay!! I'm back to business!!

And look at these little cuties I just listed on the shop! They are super cute, tiny hearts for your ears ;) just a touch of loveliness.

As valentine's day is coming up, I decided to make the photography Valentine-day-ish and as I'm not very into valentine's day to tell you the truth (:s), I was afraid I wouldn't like it but no, I love it :) I think the color and mood goes pretty good with my tiny hearts :) I hope you like it too!
