Ian had his 6 month check up today and all went well -the doctor was amazed at how advanced he is.....crawls, sits, rolls...you name he will find a way to do it.
I have been working with him lately on trying to get him to say "Ma ma." Well today Ian said his very first word. I even have witnesses. The doctor had just come in the room and my mom was currently holding Ian (Tim work another grave last night), when the doctor sat down I reached over to hold Ian and he said "Ma ma." Clear as could be -even the doctor was taken back. We were all a little surprised but amazed.
All in all the appointment went really well and it was nice to have grandma's help since we were there for 2 hours!!! Ian is now moving to 2 naps a day because he has become a night owl and lately does not want to go to sleep until midnight he just wants to play. Although I must admit he is extremely happy at this time (if he is not screaming in his crib) but it doesn't work well when I have to be up at 6 am for work. We are hoping for an 8 o'clock bedtime :)

I'm pretty sure it was "Grand - Pa" not "Ma - Ma". Glad he is doing so well!!!
6 months went way fast. He's a handsome, smart guy. Your post about Lisa & Ragnar made me pretty sad. Are you guys hanging in there? I bet it's different and a little rough without them.
Of course he is advanced, he has a teacher for a mother! Lucky guy.
way to go, ian! glad you had a relaxing thanksgiving. so sorry your neighbors have moved. it's hard to lose such good friends.

that is the cutest picture! he's growing so fast. ya, apparently it doesn't show that the 'private' blogs have updated...it's just one of many downers for being private!
