What a week. I guess I can't really complain, seeing as how people affected by Hurricane Katrina are no doubt having a much worse week. Mine wasn't too bad, just strange. Work is still going, but I think everyone is pretty much ready for the kids to come back to school. We're all getting meeting-ed out, and it's not even the first week of school. I've been running, so that's good. Had to go to the doctor on Friday for a physical, and I hate going to the doctor. It was the first time I've ever had to get blood drawn (my doctor couldn't believe it :) but I apparently have slippery veins. While I was waiting for the doc, I dropped my iPod and the stupid Hold button is permanently on hold, which really means the only way I can access my music is by connecting it to the computer. The buttons don't work. Like I said, in the big scheme of things, it's a tiny, trivial thing, but it still bugs me. Plus, my sister had a package sent to my address which has now gone missing. That's bugging me too. And I'm trying to wade through a whole bunch of red tape at Columbia. But then when the little things really start bugging me, I think about the Hurricane. Puts things in perspective, but also bugs me because the way the disaster has been managed is so incredibly appalling. Sigh.
