Yikes!

What I am doing up at 1.42am on a Wednesday night is beyond me. Oh wait, I'm writing a paper that's due tomorrow. Surprise, surprise. Of course, the difference now is that I work full time in the day, so I'm a little bit screwed. I'm not sure if I'm going to make it through tomorrow, considering I have to be up at 6.30am, and I am nowhere near being done with my paper, and I'll be teaching from like 8.15am to 3.15pm, and I have a staff meeting after that, and then class from 7-9pm. YIKES! Yes, it's totally my bad. I should really get my homework done ahead of time, and stop messing about the Internet :)

Seriously Malco

I've been seriously mal-coordinated today. While cooking lunch, slopped ridiculous amounts of soup all over, and while eating lunch, somehow managed to get some spicy soup up my nose (it hurts, trust me). Not to mention I somehow managed to drop some cookie down my shirt just now too, and spilt some juice on the kitchen floor. All of this taking place within the span of 45 minutes. Geeze. Anyway, this week has been mostly good. Survived the first full week of school, yay. Have been eating way too much, and not exercising nearly enough. Ah well.

Insane

This week has been insane. Good, but insane :) Didn't have time to run all week, but right now my arms are aching like crazy because I did some yoga yesterday and we did this thing with our arms that didn't seem so hard, but everyone couldn't lift their arms today :) Kids are back in school, first day was Thursday. So far I'm liking them :) Classes started Thursday too...yup, Thursday was super crazy. It's good to be teaching and taking classes, but I think I have to make sure I don't drown in work and school this year. Hmm. It's the 4th anniversary of September 11. The years seem to be going by quicker and quicker.

Strange Week

What a week. I guess I can't really complain, seeing as how people affected by Hurricane Katrina are no doubt having a much worse week. Mine wasn't too bad, just strange. Work is still going, but I think everyone is pretty much ready for the kids to come back to school. We're all getting meeting-ed out, and it's not even the first week of school. I've been running, so that's good. Had to go to the doctor on Friday for a physical, and I hate going to the doctor. It was the first time I've ever had to get blood drawn (my doctor couldn't believe it :) but I apparently have slippery veins. While I was waiting for the doc, I dropped my iPod and the stupid Hold button is permanently on hold, which really means the only way I can access my music is by connecting it to the computer. The buttons don't work. Like I said, in the big scheme of things, it's a tiny, trivial thing, but it still bugs me. Plus, my sister had a package sent to my address which has now gone missing. That's bugging me too. And I'm trying to wade through a whole bunch of red tape at Columbia. But then when the little things really start bugging me, I think about the Hurricane. Puts things in perspective, but also bugs me because the way the disaster has been managed is so incredibly appalling. Sigh.
