Marking the end of November soon, and the arrival of December. The final month of 2010. Thru'out this year, many things have happened. Have learnt to cherish and love more. Many things have changed too. More responsibilities, more roles to play, more challenges awaiting.

After this year comes to an end, the arrival of 2011 marks alot of things. Lots and loads of things are install, requires intensive planning, much thorough thinking, executions too.

Counting down, almost 2 years to the big big day! About 1 year to the big day! Working the timeline backwards, tonnes to be done!

Looking at a nearer frame of time, the next 2 weeks up till Christmas is busy busy busy! Will not get to rest, at least till Xmas eve!

Amidst all these busy moments, just require some booze and laughter moments with anyone is also great!

For the first time, in our 5-year relationship, this is the first time we have been apart for the longest period of time! Boy has been called up for his 1st reservist! 2.5 weeks!! As it goes, absence makes the heart grow fonder, but really, it isn't a nice feeling! Rather not have the absence but the presence will make everything so much better! Yet sometimes people require such absence in order to love and cherish more!

Been a long time since i last blogged. Nothing interesting in life, except for my working hours, which are like unearthly! Just did it again, baked thru'out the night, from 10pm. Going to have one more over the weekend! Gosh! I am a super panda! Think i can rent a place in the zoo!

November! Finally a break for me, will be going overseas with parents! Afterwhich will be the baking mad rush for Christmas and CNY and hopefully my dec31st will be spent overseas this year, depending on whether the boy can take leave!

My record baking session:

Tonight (wed) bake till tomorrow morning, do delivery.
Come home sleep, thursday night back to baking till friday morning, do delivery.
Come home sleep. Rest abit more on saturday.
Sunday slightly past midnight, back to baking, do delivery.
Come home sleep, once again, near the wee hours will be back to baking, delivery on monday morning.
Come home sleep, again near the wee hours, back to baking, delivery for tuesday.
Then my shop will be back to normal operational hours!

I want to:

Have a good meal!
Sleep like a pig!
Watch a movie!
Chill over a jug of magarita!

I want to announce:

Our wedding date and solemnization dates have be chosen!
Next week after all this baking is done, we will be on a venue hunting spree!

I want to shout out:

I am going to sleep now @ 2.48pm, to get enough rest for the mad rush!

Gosh, weather is so hot...in the shop even hotter...especially standing infront of the oven, 180degrees, for so many hours! Wish it could rain, but when it rains, it means that people don't come to the food centre to eat and this also means that I will have no customer!
Roars!

I want to have fun, go out and enjoy on weekends during my rest day, but I am so sleepy and tired!
Even at nights when I want to chat with dear on the phone, I am yawning thru'out the conversation. Go out for meals, I can't last thru the meal time , not past 8pm! Grrr!
The best solution, pack food home, watch a DVD at home. When i feel sleepy, pause the show and climb into my bed and sleep! :)

Looking forward to 2011, Chinese New Year will be the best and longest break I will have! Planning for a long trip, probably 2weeks! Where shall I go and play? Another thing to plan for...my dream wedding! :)

Went to work (open shop) at 130am, came home at 3pm, slept from 5pm to 11pm, drank a cup of water and back to sleep till 8am. Was awake by my rumbling tummy, had dear go buy Mac's for me to eat :) The best thing to do after a hard day's work is to sleep like a pig!

Lifestyle has changed alot for the past 2 weeks since the business has started. Waking up at 4am, starting work at 5am, standing thru'out the day till 4plus 5, eating dinner at 6plus, going to sleep at 8plus, and the cycle repeats again.

Interesting things and meeting interesting people daily surely has made life more exciting, certainly wouldn't get to experience such things had I been doing an office job. I am pretty impressed with myself that I have survived this 2 weeks, and my determination to wake up on time to start business! For this period of time, I have expanded my shop's offerings, menu range...have to do so just in case my competitors send spies over to my shop! Have to keep having new stuffs so that they can't catch up that soon! Haha :)

With my weird working hours, dear and me don't get to spend as much time together as before, but we still try to. Just last friday, we wanted to have a good dinner, but by the time our main course was served, I was already yawning and had to force my eyes to stay awake! Could feel my body giving way, just need a bed to sleep. Hurriedly gobbled our food, called for dessert, then called for bill within say 5mins, headed off to the car, put on my seatbelt and......ZZZZZzzzzz.....
When dear ends work, it's time for me to sleep, and when he is free at lunchtime, it's my busiest time! Hmmm...luckily for this thing called SMS! What to do, we are always missing each other's phone call.

Now I am forcing myself to stay awake so that I will go to bed later and wake up later tomorrow...why? Cause the shop's closed tomorrow! Have to do preparatory work and also trying out new operating hours for this week. Before this was closed on Saturdays, now going to try opening on Saturday and see hows the crowd.

OK..should be time to go lala land!

Just 5 more days.....not to opening of my shop...yet..but rather it's going to be a special day! It's going to be our 5th anniversary! WOW!!! And on that very special day, or rather those few days...we are going to spend it overseas!!! Can't wait for that!!! :) *cheeky grins*

These past few days of July have been busy, crazy, sickly...

First piece of good news...in 2 days time I am going to sign my stall's tenancy agreement and if all goes well, my cake business will be in operation by August! :)

Second, I have passed my basic hygiene course! Next up, hygiene officer's course! :)

Third, took my typhoid vaccination and suffering from the side effects for almost a week. Fever, flu, cough, tummy ache, barely could move the past few days. Thank my dear for looking after me!
Still recovering but surely will be in time for our month end!! Mr Happy Nurse!

Early Saturday morning...

We went to Turf City...

To have brunch at Picotin! Was planning to go to Rider's Cafe but somehow we could not find it. Food was so-so but company was great!

There was bunny feeding available at the saddle club. This shy bunny just chose to turn around and show me its butt instead of its face!

Monday afternoon, dear took leave to spend time with me! Given that last week I had been too busy baking and not much time spent with him. We went down to NEA to apply for my shop, keeping fingers crossed, in about 2 weeks time, hopefully I can get the transfer done. Then, business shall begin!

And yes! High tea at TWG, finally!!! We queued nearly 40 mins before getting a table! Tonnes and tonnes of tea, reading the tea list already gave us a headache, could not decide which tea to drink??? First kiss, Celebration tea, Breakfast tea...blah blah

We ordered a Celebration tea set and chose our teas - Royal Orchid tea for him and Passion Fruit tea for me!

Choice of 3 finger sandwiches, 2 scones and 2 macaroons. Along that we had an ala carte order of a pecan tart too, but forgot to photograph! Only noticed that when uploading pictures. Dear says that this kind of food style does not suit him because he don't like to slowly savour and sip tea, but prefers to gobble, gulp and slurp!

It feels nice to spend such great relaxing times with dear, but the day just seem too short to accomplish much! We have been trying to plan for a short getaway before my shop opens, till then I will not be able to travel, at least not until next year's CNY is over. Festive periods of Xmas and CNY are good times to earn money! Also I will have to open shop 7 days a week, maybe I will be able to rest one day , which will be a weekday and dear will be working. So I told him he can apply for afternoon off and sit at my shop to accompany me, do delivery for me!
Jokingly, he said he wants to be my "small white face" and let me look after him, his hands are soaked in milk, too fine and tender to be doing tough chores!!! Got to give him credit for having such funny thoughts! :)

Looking forward to this weekend, will be going to Bangkok with family, to source for resources for business as well as to take a break before the real thing starts!!!

The baker has been busy all week, having one big order and 2 medium orders. Been baking everyday of this week. Last night just baked overnight again, sleeping for 2 hours before waking up for delivery before 9am. Luckily Pam came in last night to help for couple of hours and this morning for waking up so early to go do delivery with me and mum! Breakfast at Ya Kun, went granny house for lunch, being too awake, going home to sleep after breakfast was not a good idea. Not until 4pm when the sleep bug came to me and I simply needed a power snooze!
Besides baking, been running around Singapore to look for a shop to rent too. Morning, Noon and Night, busy as a bee, I need a good break this weekend before the rush for next week again!
Orders, orders and orders mean cash, cash and cash. A hard sweet working life I say.
