Christmas Cards using Fred, She Said-Love 'em

I know I've said this so many times before BUT I love pre-colored digitals, especially when they are so well done by Tracey (aka Fred, she Said)!  There are so many things on your plate during December that when you can cut a few corners, it helps out so much, right?
This time I cut out the center of the Pine Cone Spray Cardfront so that I could put the Hat Tipping Snowman digital behind it.  I tried to take a closer picture so you could see the stickle accents on his image and the evergreen branches as well as the white Puffy paint that I put on the pinecones to look like plops of snow.  I mounted the cardfront (oops I see that the top corner is not quite stuck down-will fix that right away!) onto a cheery Christmas paper and then placed a green liner inside the card with some red stickle berries.

I was on such a roll with these easy cards, I worked on another one using Kitty and the Ornament as well as the Pine Cone Spray Cardfront again. Used the stickle that I love for my bling and the puffy paint again.  The inside has a lovely shade of blue paper with some snowflakes as accents.
Try these images out and see how fast you get your cards done!

Oh the Convenience of Fred, She Said colored Images!

I recently needed a card for a friend that was having a low moment in her life...something feminine,  soft colored, delicate, uplifting...I found just the right image at my favorite shop, Fred, She Said.   This digi called Tulip Bouquet comes in a variety of colors but I thought the lavender was soothing.  I used an oval beaded Spellbinder die, pop-dotted for dimension.  I used an embossed card front that I put through my CuttleBug.  The 1" scalloped lace is adorned with a purple Stickles dot in the center.   I stamped the "Thinking of You" sentiment in purple ink. Thanks Fred for coming to my rescue..again!

Fred, She Said makes it so easy for Christmas!

There's something about a beautiful Tartan plaid and Christmas...can't put my finger on it but when I saw Tracy's(aka Fred) newest Christmas pre-colored digital image called Kiss Me Scottie, I knew what my card would look like!  She is always drawing very creative images for us-the shading and coloring is amazing!  I added an aged looking cardstock accent square on top of a printed Twill Ribbon that says "Happy Holidays" that has a pine bough on it. On Scottie, I put red Stickles on the bow and used white puffy paint on the Mistletoe Berries so they'd stick out.  While the image was in the SpellBinder die, I used a paint dauber with Tim Holtz's Distress Ink (faded jeans) and put Diamond glaze on his nose and eyes so they'd look moist.  She has a whole series of Scotties in white, tan, brown and black at Fred, She Said so I say bring on the Plaid--I've got a lot of cards to make!

Another New design from Fred, She Said~Leaves

Time to play around with the digis!  A great feature of using them is that they can be resized and altered somewhat with effects.  Using the Falling Leaf  found at Fred, She Said  , I changed the coloring to sepia so that I could show an older leaf and with another one changed the size.  Then I curled the leaves for dimension.  The card picture has a glare from the angle taken-I just couldn't get a good one to save my life!  I grouped them with a hemp string in a cluster.  The fun embossed leaf paper is from  Imaginisce called Apple Cider*Changing Leaves.  Printed twill from my stash and a touch of bling put the finishing touches on the card.
The beauty of the pre-colored digital is that the artist has created a wonderful masterpiece for you to use and makes that last minute project quick and "polished".  With Tracey (aka Fred) she also gives you the clear version so that you can use your favorite coloring medium with a totally different look.  Thanks for looking, hope you become a follower of mine and look forward to seeing you in the future!

New Play Toy for Fred, She Said and Another DT Term

I just received some oval and round Shaker Card Pouches called Shake It from Impression Obsession.  I couldn't wait to use it on a card with the pre-colored Blue Jay from Fred, She Said.  These Jay's come on branches for all the seasons but I wanted to use the one with snow for my first
Christmas card of the year~I know Yikes!
The unique thing about the shakers is that they are very low profile and have a strong adhesive around the edge.  That makes them perfect for cards!  I piled the material on top of the image and then pressed down the edge of the pouch.  Success! No Leaks! I covered the flared edge with a heavy lace, attached a cardstock sticker and have my card!  It was fun to create this-had been a very long since I had done one so I put a little too much iridescent snow and multi-colored blue beads in the pouch but a little extra bling bling shouldn't hurt, right?  Thanks for looking-hopefully this will inspire me to get a move on my Christmas cards!

Also received the news that I will start my second term on this great Fred, She Said Team and I couldn't be happier~Tracey (aka Fred) creates wonderful digis for us to color as well as gives us the options for her pre-colored images.  Boy, has that saved me when I needed a card fast.  So keep an eye on my blog for new images and hopefully inspiring ideas!
