[Go Bloom & Glow] Korean Skincare Haul

Korean skincare products bring so much joy to me whenever I'm doing my skincare routine. 💖 My younger sister who's even more kikay than I am (she went to a legit makeup school, you guys) was the first to mention the online store Go Bloom & Glow to me. Go Bloom & Glow is a Cebu-based Korean beauty product store where everything is 100% authentic. When I'm not getting my products straight from Korea, I want them to be from a legit and trusted source. They have brands such as COSRX, Klairs, Innisfree, Pyunkang Yul, Heimish, Laneige, and more!

Go Bloom & Glow sent me a package full of skincare products to try! From what I noticed upon browsing their site, they have a pretty range of products under one brand - you have to check out their COSRX listings! Pricing is also at par and sometimes even lower than other Korean beauty stores, but it's wisest to canvass first to get the best deal.

💝 Go Bloom & Glow Haul 💝

COSRX Clear Fit Master Patch (P200)
COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch (P200)

I lost count on the packs of COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch I've consumed. I place it over pimples with heads (yuck) at night and I also use it during the day (no shame), until I realized that they do have a less visible version that's specifically for daytime use, which is the COSRX Clear Fit Master Pouch. It's not available in Althea and it's always out of stock in Watsons, so I'm happy to finally have one! Not saying I'm excited to use these because I don't want to break out, but in case I do, I'm armed! 😉

COSRX One Step Pimple Clear Kit (P220)
COSRX One Step Moisture Up Kit (P220)

These are so cute!!! I love the concept of having a facial cleanser, toner soaked in cotton pad, and a face mask all in a single pack. It's definitely a travel essential.

  • COSRX One Step Pimple Clear Kit contains Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser, One Step Pimple Clear Pad, and Holy Moly Snail Mask.
  • COSRX One Step Moisture Up Kit contains Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser, One Step Moisture Up Pad, and Holy Moly Snail Mask.

Also, if you've been meaning to try these separate products from COSRX, these kits are a good way to "sample" their products.

COSRX PHA Moisture Renewal Power Cream (P1,250)

This tub of moisturizer is gold for those with dry to normal skin, including sensitive skin. It contains 3% polyhydroxy acids (PHA) to gently exfoliate and provide intense moisture for the skin. Oh, it comes with a spatula too!

Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner 100ml (P695)
+ Pyunkang Yul Sample Pouches (P45 each)

My sister has a huge bottle of the same toner in her skincare stash. 👌 I have yet to try this brand for myself, but the brand story is interestingly nice. Pyunkang Yul is cruelty-free, and they've removed all unnecessary chemical substances from their products that are merely for texture or scent. Each of the products are made using only the minimum, most gentle and safe ingredients for your skin.

Dear Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner (P350)

Another bestseller in the K-beauty world! Super cute bottle too - it's the perfect size for sampling or travel. My sister raves about this one as well, and the also has a big bottle of this at home. 😮

Let me know in the comments section which product you'd like me to review first! 😊

My Althea Birthday Shopping Spree!

Althea Korea gifted me with USD 100 worth of shopping credits last month for being an August baby/Althea Angel. 💖

Now I don't usually post photos of my pambahay look, but I couldn't resist taking a selfie with my HUGE Althea mail! 😍

Hello, K-beauty babies!!! 💖

Since I'm practical, I decided to just buy products that I could actually use every day. I think I have too many makeups in my stash anyway so these are more on skincare, hair care, and body care items. 😀

Nature Republic Argan Essential Deep Care Shampoo (P440)
Nature Republic Argan Essential Deep Care Hair Pack (P300)

These ones are way cheaper in Althea than mall price (P625 each). Time to pamper my hair because it's getting unruly and I don't know what to do with it anymore. 😂 Hopefully, this will help!

Banila Co Clean It Zero Original (790)

Again, it's cheaper to just buy from Althea than in the mall (P945). I've been using micellar water for years now, so I'm excited to switch things up a bit by using this cleansing balm. Plus, I don't have to buy cotton pads for this.

COSRX Oil-Free Ultra Moisturizing Lotion (P1,035)
COSRX Salicylic Acid Gentle Cleanser (P375)
COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch (P190)

Most COSRX products are cheaper in Althea vs Watsons, while surprisingly there are a few of their products that are cheaper in Watsons vs Althea. You really have to canvass well. Of course I did my research and decided to get the best deals I could find in Althea. 😊

Etude House Soon Jung pH 5.5 Relief Toner (P390)

I've been super curious about Etude House's Soon Jung line. This toner seems so mild and harmless. Let's give it a try!

Natural 100 UV Mineral Sunkill RX (P540)

A sunscreen in loose powder form! So interesting. 😍 This comes in only 1 shade though, so I hope it's a match.

The Face Shop Designing Eyebrow Pencil (P150 each)

It's cheaper to buy this in Althea than the mall (at P225 each), unless there's a buy 1 take 1 promo in store. Finally, an eyebrow pencil that matches my microbladed brows! My hair is black so my makeup artist sister matched 06 Dark Gray on my brows and it looked perfectly natural. I never, ever would have thought that I needed a gray brow pencil, but here we are. I still don't feel the need to pencil in my brows every single day at work since I can still rock the #WokeUpLikeThis kilay because of my tattoo, but when I do full makeup, this is a must to look more polished.

Nine Point Perfume Hand & Nail Cream (P80 each)

These babies have already been repurchased since my last Althea haul. I bought more as backup and gifts. My favorite hand cream brand is still L'Occitane, but this one's a close second. It's huge at 60g, and as of now I'm halfway through with my first tube Marry Me, which is inspired by Lanvin's Marry Me.

Boom De Ah Dah Rose Body Lotion (P230)

Just because I needed a body lotion. Not too stoked with this one though. It's huge at 500ml but it has a very strong rose smell that may not be pleasing to everyone. I still have a year to use it up since it expires November 2019. I can decant and put in a small jar to use as hand cream, too! #TipidTips

Glamfox Fleurissant Lip Glow in Rose Flower (P510)
16 Brand Eye Magazine (P540)

And lastly, a little something for the BFF! 😍 These two are also repurchases from my last haul. Not happy with the Glamfox Fleurissant Lip Glow this time around - the stem inside the flower is broken so it's not aesthetically pleasing. It doesn't affect the product's performance though, but I still get OC about it because it's not perfect. 16 Brand Eye Magazine is super nice though, and I will review that soon! 💛

DISCOUNT ALERT! I'm sharing with you a 20% discount on your first order at Althea. (You're welcome!) 😉 Free shipping from Korea straight to your doorstep (not post office YAY!) on all orders P999+!

Tip: Pay online to get your orders faster. I didn't pick COD this time around, and my order got to me in just 4 days. I ordered August 20 afternoon, and got the package at August 24. Awesome job, Doora Logistics! 👍

I checked out my COD transaction July 25, and my package arrived August 6 with lots of followup on my part. That was 12 days. NinjaVan is in charge of COD transactions in the Philippines, and they also mishandled my parcel. I think my package was opened because some of the items were not properly bubble wrapped. Althea would never ship out items like that. 👎 So no more COD for me.

Love,
Helen

BeautyMNL Haul

Now I don't mean to be a Scrooge, but I'm not fond of going to malls, especially when it's December. During the holiday rush, nothing beats the convenience of online shopping! 📦 You just click and pay, and your items will magically make their way to your doorstep. If you can't pay online, some sites even have COD so you won't have to run to the bank just to pay. You don't have to commute, get stuck in traffic, pay for parking (if you drive), eat (yup, shopping can make you tired and hungry, so additional expenses for y'all!), and deal with the crowd and long lines.

Just last week, I was handpicked by BeautyMNL to give their site a test run, and it couldn't have come at a better timing! 🎄 I've already bought gifts for my loved ones early on, so it's time to buy something for myself. Hihi! 😁

I love how easy it is now to shop for my favorite beauty finds and also discover new brands along the way! BeautyMNL caters to the diverse beauty of Filipinas - they have a lot of brands so you're sure to find something you'll like every time you browse their site.

I first browsed their mobile site, and I liked how neat it looked. I was literally shopping in my bed past midnight. This sunscreen from Biore sounds like a great idea...

Add to cart! 😍

I find their Reviews section very helpful, too. I saw this new Korean skincare brand COSRX, and I got so curious with their Acne Pimple Master Patch. After reading all the 262 (!) reviews, I got one to try for myself.

I wasn't able to finish shopping because it was already 1:00AM then, so I browsed the site again the next day.

If your purchase reaches P1,990, you get a FREE Skin Genie Lip & Cheek Stain Alive and also have a chance to win a trip to Tokyo. 😮

I finished browsing their site via laptop the next day and checked out my orders at around 5:00PM of December 8. I paid for the excess amount via Paypal, but they also do COD deliveries within Metro Manila. When my dad met me the next day at around 3:00PM, he handed me my BeautyMNL package. My order arrived in less than 24 hours. OH MY! SO FAST! 😍 I couldn't wait to get home and open it, even if I already knew what was inside. Haha!

And now, here's my first BeautyMNL haul! In the order of my favorites, here are the items I got:

I confess: I've been delinquent with SPF this year. It's because I mostly stayed at home and didn't feel the urge to put on some, so it became a (bad) habit. My turning point was when we did a garage sale on a cloudy day just this month. When I took a bath, I realized that my skin burned to the shape of a tank top and it was ugly. LOL. This sunscreen from Biore has a LOT of good reviews stating that it feels just like water with no white cast, and that's how I want my sunscreen to be. I'm having high hopes here, and I'm so excited to use this one!

COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch (24 Patches) (P170)

COSRX is a new Korean brand here in the Philippines, and it was actually the site reviews that convinced me to grab this one. This one works overnight to flatten painful zits that have reared their ugly yellowish heads (eww), and I'm wild about that! I don't always have that kind of pimples *knocks vigorously on wood*, but it's nice to have this "emergency" skincare item in my beauty kit.

The last time I bought one from another online store, it was as tiny as an eye-drop container and costed P250 + shipping fee. Now, I spot one in a way bigger bottle and at a more affordable price. No second thoughts on this one! There were other variants such as Lavender and Vanilla, but I personally don't think poo and vanilla will work well together, hence I chose Mint. I'm giving this as a gift to someone else, and I'm sure she will like it!

This is also a very lovely gift suggestion to your office mate who loves pooping in the office. LOL 😂

I initially added a dry shampoo in my cart, but Panda and I were browsing the site together and we spotted cute soaps from The Soap Farm. Since I wanted to stay in budget, I decided to just get this soap for Panda instead as one of his Christmas gifts. His favorite cake is Black Forest, so this one was supposed to be a no-brainer variant for me to pick. I read the reviews and they were all positive, but I wasn't too happy to see its state when it arrived.😕

The plastic packaging it came with was squished, and I hope they would wrap this soap in bubble wrap before putting it inside its packaging to minimize movement, but there wasn't any.

Also, the soap had a white gritty film all over the surfaces that had been exposed to air. These aren't exactly harmful, but they're not nice to look at.

The more photogenic side of the soap shows the part of the cherry which was wrapped properly, and it looked glossy and nice. I just hope the whitish layer would be gone when Panda uses it. The good bits of this soap was its scent, as it really does smell deliciously sweet. If you don't look at it closely, you'd actually think it's food, as my Mom and sister asked me who sent me cake while I was taking photos of it. 🎂

As of writing this post, I'm still amazed with BeautyMNL's super fast delivery! I'm very satisfied with 3 of the items I got, they were definitely fresh stocks. For the cons, a lot of items I also wanted was out of stocks, particularly the high-end brands. The stock issue is something the site/supplier can improve on. I didn't bother having the soap returned since the price wasn't very substantial. I'll just do an updated review on their site once I have feedback.😊
