9 Months

9 months old, can you believe it, we had a doctors appointment and here are her measurements:
Weight: 20lb 14oz.  (80%)
Height: 29 3/4in. (off the charts)
Head: 17 1/2in (70%)
So there you have it, she is pretty proportional. She is tall for her age. She got two shots, flu shot and Hep B shot. She is doing awesome

She also loves playing with our canned food that we still have yet to move downstairs.
Our magnets and pictures on our fridge keep getting higher and higher. This little gal loves the fridge and pulling everything she can reach off.
Since Julie is now walking along the furniture, we decided to get her a fun toy so that she can walk without us holding her hands. When she first tried it out, she had to walk pretty fast, but within 5 minutes she got the hang of it and was able to control it so that she could slow herself down. It was so fun to watch her, she had to walk so fast and these pictures were when she first tried it out, she would have her mouth open and be just moving, she face planted a few times. Now, she loves it and she will walk around and scream and giggle. Rob even attached a belt to it so that we can steer her around so that she keeps walking, we just move it around objects that are in the way. It has made such a difference already.
We came home from my parents on Sunday and Rob took her out of her car seat and stood her on the floor and she stood there, she would have stood all by herself for longer but we kind of got excited and I don't think she knew quite what she was doing. We have since practiced with her and she can balance, but she will cry and get upset because she wants to hold onto something. She still needs that support of holding onto something. I am sure it won't be long now before she really starts walking.
She loves playing Peek a Boo, when we are over at my parents, we set her car seat on their coffee table and also her diaper bag. Then she walks around the coffee table and looks in between the crack where her car seat and diaper are and waits for someone to appear. She gets so excited and then moves to the other side in anticipation, then when the person playing with her shows up and says Boo, she will squeal and GIGGLE and move to the other side while giggling that I swear she is going to fall in the process. It is so much fun to see her so happy.
She is so good at just sitting and playing by herself, this after noon I set her down by her toys and she just sat there looking at her books. I love watching her play and talk to herself.

Pumpkin Walk

We made it to the pumpkin walk this year together, last year I went with my sister because I think Rob was out of town. Luckily we made it before it started to rain. I told Rob when he got home Friday night that we needed to go in the morning so we miss the rain. Also, I hate crowds and walking slow in the dark and cold. We went at the perfect time, it was cold but not that bad. Julie did awesome and we were able to go at our own pace which I really liked. If you have not already been to the Pumpkin Walk then you might not want to look at the next pictures. Everyone always does such a great job! I thoroughly enjoyed this Pumpkin Walk!
I got my picture taken with Julie in front of the Sponge Bob scene.
Here is one for my sister in law(you know who I am talking about), although I can't remember the name of it now.
Here is Robert and Julie in front of The Muppet Show.
This one was very well done, so much detail in this scene from "The Polar Express", this one made me excited for Christmas and Winter to come.
And I love Lilo and Stitch!
The Beutler Farm, where the Pumpkin Walk originally started.
This next one was inside the Pavilion, very well done.
And I really love this one, my neighbors growing up did this one of "UP" and what a good job they did, I love that movie!
 Tribute to the Isrealson's
 The Princess and the Frog
This one made me laugh, (although my mind went blank just now as to the title of this movie)
The Iron Giant
And here is my sweet little girl, we bundled her up with blankets since we forgot her jacket. Just glad it wasn't super cold.
I you haven't been you should definitely go!

Growing up too Fast!

She climbs up onto everything, she likes to kneel in front of the fridge and take all the magnets off that she can reach, then she will carry them around the house. She also has been pulling herself up to the stove, dishwasher, or just the wood underneath the counter, and once she is kneeling she balances there and then she will start licking the appliance or wall. Oh my goodness, yuck, so I disinfected everything. Probably not as gross as crawling all over the floor with her hand and then sticking things in her mouth, but the licking just grossed me out.
She sure does love her green beans. She inhaled one and choked on it the other day, about scared me half to death. She coughed and was fine, but was I so ready to rip that tray off. I have had to stick my finger in her mouth to fish something out a few times now. The other day it was a little leaf, but she started gagging and then I thought she swallowed it, but then she started gagging again and so I had to pry her mouth open to get my finger in there and found the little flat leaf stuck to the back of her tongue. Why do they have to clamp their mouth shut like that.
Her is my little cutie enjoying some prunes and black beans, needed those bowels to loosen up a little more!
Rob went to Ohio on a business trip this week from Monday to Friday(way to long) and so I did not want to make some meal that I would end up eating for dinner and then lunch and possibly dinner again from the leftovers, so I bought some hoagie buns and had yummy sandwiches for lunch and a few dinners while he was gone. I also had to make something that would use up the few leftover tomatoes from our garden.
We have these nightlights that my mom gave us for Christmas one year and Julie loves to pull them out of the wall. So I just left them out and put plug covers over instead. I moved one into the dining room because the outlet was higher up and I didn't think she would be able to reach it or bother it. Well, I was wrong, she found it today and was able to pull it out of the outlet, goodness girl, I just can't keep up with her. I barely babyproof the place and now this! She is constantly on the move!
Julie has such a cute little pouty face, my family was able to witness it and it had them all laughing even though she was sad and upset, it was still funny. I was feeding her and I guess the spoon got her in the gums and hurt. But, she does not like loud noises(vacuum, bosch mixer, blowing your nose), and the other day I was making some bread so I just let Julie play on the floor while I started, once I turned the Mixer on, she got this pouty face where her bottom lip came up over her top lip and she looked on the verge of tears. Then she would proceed to crawl directly to me. You would think she would want to get away from the noise not move closer to it. Well, she wanted her mommy and to be held, so I held her for a minute while I started the bread and then stuck her in her high chair, and just made sure I was smiley and talking happy to her while the mixer was going. She still did not like it. Then, I was using our little vacuum to vacuum the tile floor before I mopped, she did okay. It was funny when I moved into the bathroom, I usually use just the hose and get down on my knees so I can vacuum all the hairs up faster and she wanted to be right next to me in the bathroom which was kind of cramped with her in their as I was vacuuming. She is just too funny. I usually vacuum when Rob is home so that he can take her downstairs and play to distract her, but he was in Ohio from Monday to Friday and so I just had to get it done.
Where did my little baby go, she has grown up!
She had been on the same schedule for quite awhile and we have changed it up just a little. She now only takes two naps and goes down to bed earlier! In the mornings I will go in and get her after Rob gets up to take a shower and then I will nurse her and then she will get a diaper change. Then she gets to sit on Daddy's lap while he eats his breakfast(his morning time with Julie) and she will eat some bread or bananas(something small) while Rob holds her. Then Dad goes off to work and Julie will go down for her first nap while I get ready. She takes about an hour and a half nap, when she gets up I will change her again and she will play until it is time to feed her again. She eats every four hours except in the evening. After I nurse her, it is lunchtime and she will get some sweet potatoes or squash with leftovers from dinner. We usually go on a walk with my mom after lunch. Then after our walk, she goes down for her afternoon nap. This nap usually is a little longer than her morning nap and I will nurse her when she wakes up. I try to have dinner ready by the time Rob would get home from work so I can feed Julie some of what we are eating and that way she gets fed at the same time we are and everything gets cleaned up at the same time. Then she will get a bottle of milk that I pumped in the morning and she will then play until bedtime. She is sleeping 11 hours at night, just an hour longer than she was. She will get clingy and rub her head in the carpet or on your shoulder when she is tired.
She is going to be 9 months on Monday, that just blows me away! She will have her 9 month checkup next week to see how she is doing!

Mini Golf Date

Rob and I dropped Julie off at my parents house and headed out to Renegade Sports. We got a free pass for miniature golfing or go-carts. So, we went mini golfing, we had a good time. It was even HOT for a fall day, but it was nice. The guy we talked to there said to hang onto our free golf card and use it another time. So, next time I think we will go on the go-carts, there was a family there as we were leaving that was go-carting and it looked like fun.
Robs other incentive on going out to Renegade Sports was to try out their new Razor side by side, and he liked it.
Then afterwords we stopped at Firehouse(love that place), and got two lunch specials to go and headed home. Julie was playing on the front lawn with my mom having a great time.

Gate

We finally got Julie's gate installed and now I don't have to worry about her falling down the stairs. She will crawl up next to it and act like she  is going to pull herself up to stand and then she will stop and go somewhere else.

Mule ride

In between conference while at Robs parents(Robs mom got to watch Julie for us) we headed up the mountain on his Aunt LaVerna's mule(a side by side vehicle). It was beautiful and the last time we did this we were dating so it has been a while. Rob drove for the first half up there and then he wanted me to drive. There was two spots where you have to drive through a little water and there were wasps flying around everywhere so I was grateful he drove through those. I would have ended up driving super fast through them and probably would have caused some sort of damage to us or the vehicle.
Look at these trees, they were gorgeous. The leaves were just turning and a lot were falling off also. It was just perfect. The temperature was nice, and the weather was good.
Here are the two of us enjoying our time together!
We stopped at the entrance where you hike to Coldwater Lake, you actually couldn't go any further on motor vehicles so I parked and we enjoyed our lunch. While we were dating we did hike up to the lake which was fun, but not this time.
This was our view from where we were sitting on the back of the mule, so pretty!
More of our scenery on our way back down, I just loved it, it is just fun to go up into the mountains sometimes and enjoy nature, the sounds, the smells, are just lovely.
I also got to enjoy this guy as well. It brought back so many fun memories from when we were dating.
Here we are at make out peak(or so they call it), where we snapped a quick pic. Too bad the background is washed out, it overlooked the valley.
In all we had a great time and Rob let me drive the whole rest of the way back down to his Aunts(although he did drive through the first little stream). We were only gone for about an hour, but it was nice to get away. We got back to his parents and Julie had fallen asleep, so Robs mom had laid her down in the crib where she slept for another good hour and a half.
