Clean Reads

There is a wonderful new web site... Squeaky Clean Reads...

It is a wonderful resource and they have a list of books that are "Squeaky Clean"

I have been wanting a site like this for a long time.

Last night at bookclub one of the gals gave us the scoop from her sister in law:

"We are so excited to announce the official launch of our new website, Clean Reads! Our website is www.squeakycleanreads.com.

It's a website where readers can go to give or get reviews about the content of a book. Readers rate each book on our site in the areas of violence, sexual content, profanity, mature theme, and appropriate age. They can also give an overall book rating, vote if it is a good bookclub selection, and leave a written "content" review (a content review is a review of any possibly objectionable content found in the book, to let other readers know).

One great resource that we offer is a "Squeaky Clean Booklist", which is a compilation of books that readers have rated and voted on as being clean reads. So we think it's going to be a great resource for readers who are interested in books that meet strict content criteria, and are great, clean reads!"

Books Books Books

These are two books that I have recently read. I loved them and I hated them both.
I loved the story and the characters... but I hated the language in the books.
Why do they need that? I will tell you: They Don't.
I do not like to read books with the "f" word
and other profanity.
I have returned books before for bad language.
I should have returned these, but I was too engrossed in the story line.
I wish they had a rating system for books.
I would love a website where you could check to see if it has bad language or steamy scenes.
Then I would not even start them. I could avoid them all together and read better books.
