This week, Jenn over at Jax Bean Stalks is hosting the very first challenge for our blog group "Eyelets, Ribbon, Paper-Oh My!" The challenge is to to reuse/re-purpose an item(s) that we all have in our house...a cereal box, cracker box or a cookie box...and she encouraged us to use up our scraps. I've been wanting a container to hold all my little white cardstock scraps that always seem to accumulate on my craft table and I haven't been able to find one the right size. I do eventually use up all these scraps and so it's nice to have them handy and not mixed up with all my other coloured scraps...oh, and it helps if they're not covered in ink or glitter! I decided to use a Wheat Thins box...
I cut it down to the size I wanted so that all my scraps are easily accessible but wont fall out!
Then I rummaged through my scrap paper draw and found this small piece of stripey paper (Basic Grey if I remember rightly) and some colours to match and covered the inside and outside with paper. Then of course it needed some ribbon and a flower...guess I should have used an eyelet instead of a button and it would have been perfect for our blog group name!
