Delight Yourself in the Lord

This week's Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge is to use stripes on your card/project. Last week I received a lovely package from my Mum in Australia for my birthday which included some lovely brads and buttons and the brads are perfect for this challenge so I made this card to go with the lovely fabric covered, stripey brad! I paper pieced the background to match the brad.

Ping Pong

Last Saturday was my 17th Wedding Anniversary and I wanted to make a fun card to go with the fun gifts for my husband. We love playing ping pong together and play most nights after dinner so I bought him a funny ping pong t-shirt and matching mug and some new balls. I don't own any ping pong stamps so I paper pieced a paddle and ball and printed the sentiment from my computer...

I know, I know...it's a little early for Thanksgiving cards but I couldn't resist making one for this week's Ippity challenge. The challenge is to make a card with paper piecing. Time to Celebrate!

Paige from She Who Must Stamp has issued the members of Tangled Up In Creativity a challenge to make a card using red, white and blue! It does not necessarily have to be a patriotic themed card, but we do need to use red, white and blue as our main colors. What better way to celebrate than with cupcakes!

May Your Cup Overflow...

This card was made for the Tangled Up In Creativity challenge hosted by Heather over at Stamping Mommy. She challenged us to make our own designer paper...what fun! The day I made this card I'd had a cortisone injection in my foot and the Doctor ordered my to stay off it for 24 hours...slightly impractical for a Mum of 2 who are both on school vacation...but a great excuse to make cards all day! I had lots of fun making all the strips of designer paper for this card...some are stamped, some are airbrushed and some are both...I tried to use the patterns on the cups as inspiration! The whole background except for the little, thin scalloped strip of blue and the lace and ribbon were handmade!

I made this card for my husband who just finished his second Masters Degree. I'm not sure who's happier that he's finished...him or me! I didn't have any graduation stamps so I found the free graduation cap digital image at birdscards.com and cut the Congrats out on my Cricut and used a white gel pen for a little added detail!

Can you believe it's Monday again? Welcome to another fun {Ippity} Hop! Be sure to check in at the {Ippity} Blog to see the full list of Blog Hop participants and all their wonderful {Ippity} creations...and to see what today's challenge is!

I have a couple of cards to share with you today...the first card uses the lovely scroll stamp from the Ippity set Love In Return. I liked how it was similar to the scroll in the designer paper I chose.

The second card uses one of my favourite Ippity stamps...the leafy one from the set Where You Should Be...this stamp is so versatile as it can be used as a feature or as a background stamp. I used it as both on this card! I stamped it in versamark for the soft background and stamped it twice for the foreground...once in brown ink on the kraft cardstock and once on the designer paper which I then cut out and paper pieced onto the kraft cardstock.

Single Layered Card

When Ippity announced last Monday that the week's challenge was to make a single layered card I knew it was going to be a challenge...I'm not even sure I've made a single layered card before. After stamping the little corner stamps I drew the lines between the stamps to mirror the lines in the middle stamp. I did add a few little rhinestones to the centre of the flowers for a little sparkle!

Grateful

Welcome to another fun H{ippity} Hop Monday! Be sure to check in at the {Ippity} Blog to see the full list of Blog Hop participants and all their wonderful {Ippity} creations...and to see what today's challenge is!

I do love this swirly, leafy, butterfly stamp from the {Ippity} set Now And Always. For the first card I stamped it on white cardstock and designer paper. I then cut out the designer paper swirl and adhered it to the white one and then used the Grateful stamp from the set A Moment In Time which I think goes perfectly with the swirly stamp!

On my second card I used the swirly stamp as a background stamp and stamped it in a slightly darker ink than the cardstock. It also goes perfectly with the butterflies on the Plan for a Miracle stamp. I love to mix and match my Ippity sets!

Have a sweet day!

I've been really enjoying the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Triggers lately as they have encouraged me to use colour combinations that I otherwise would not have thought to put together. This week's trigger is this fun, bright summery photo.

The colours were an easy starting point but I wasn't sure where to go from there until I remembered that I had a popsicle stamp in the Mix Up Of Cuteness set from Unity that I've never used...perfect for this challenge. I paper pieced them in the colours from the photo and here it is...

The Little Things Aren't Little

This week's {Ippity} challenge is to create a project using your {Ippity} stamps and incorporate fabric/canvas. I love any excuse to drag out my fabric from my quilting days but was a little overwhelmed by the choice until I came across some calico which I always love to use as it frays nicely and goes with anything and can be sponged any colour to match the papers and inks.

Enjoy the Journey!

Today's card is for this week's Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge. The host for this week is Kathy and she shared her thoughts on Genesis 1:26, "And God said, 'Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.'" She then challenged us to make a card/project that has some kind of animal on it; i.e., a fish, bird, land mammal, or a creeping bug.

I chose to use the caterpillar stamp from A Little Buggy by {Ippity} and discovered that the body segments were exactly 1/2 " so I was able to stamp the caterpillar on different papers, punch out the body segments using a 1/2 " circle punch and piece the body back together. I printed the sentiment from my computer as I thought the caterpillar sort of looks like he's going on a journey!

Today I've used a stamp from the {Ippity} set What Matter's Most. I love this bible verse from Psalm 46:10 as it is a wonderful reminder in our busy lives and makes a lovely note card or encouragement card. I air brushed this first card with copics...

...and sponged around the verse on this next card with fluid chalks and finished both with some hemp cord.

Blog Group Challenge #7

It's time for another "Eyelets, Ribbon and Paper, Oh My!" challenge and this week I'm the host! We are in the middle of merging with "10 to Tango" and so this challenge is for all the members of the new "Tangled Up In Creativity" blog group.

The last six challenges have been fun and it was a tough decision to choose a challenge for this week but I finally decided upon a monochromatic challenge...choose your favourite colour and make a card/project using only that one colour...no white, black or neutrals allowed...you can, however, use as many different shades of the colour chosen as you like! You have until the 13th of June to post your link here or send me an email with your finished project. I will post a poll so that all Tangled Up In Creativity members can vote between the 14th - 16th of June and I will announce the winner on the 17th of June. There will be a prize for the winner! Can't wait to see what you all come up with!

Everyone is more than welcome to join in the challenge....for all non blog group members I will select an entrant at random for a prize as well!

Here is a monochromatic card I recently made using one of my favourite colours...pink!
