Hello everyone! Tammy here and so glad to be bringing you this week's challenge! Thanks to all of you that entered our Butterfly challenge last week. I enjoyed visiting your blogs and seeing such a wide variety of talent and creativity! This week, my challenge for you is to create a card of any theme, however it has to be a non square/rectangle. If you can create a project that follows those parameters as well they are more than welcome. Our sponsor this week is Just Some Lines

Myself and the rest of the design team were excited to be using some of the JSL images for this challenge and on Thursday I will be telling you more about Jehanne and JSL in our sponsor spotlight, so make sure you stop by then. Jehanne has graciously donated a $15 gift certificate to the Just Some Lines store. What a great prize! There are so many fabulous images in there that you'll want to buy! Now, on to some great inspiration from the DT!

Inspiration for Boy Themed Projects

Hi everyone! Diane here to give you a little inspiration. If you are anything like me I love to create using embellishments such as ribbon, flowers, bling and sparkle. That doesn't usually fare so well for the boy themed projects. So if you need a little help in creating a card or any type of boy projects, I hope this helps.

Talk about inspiration! Check out the great card from one of our own DT - Barbara AKA Forgotten Scraps. She used Albert fom Limited Runs digis. By using only part of the digi, use of color for the image and adding Halloween paper she took this image in a whole different direction. Brillant!!

Here is what Albert looked like before Barbara did her magic on him. I sure didn't see mad scientist from this but it so works. I'm definitely going to look at images differently now. Mimi created this awesome boy card using The Greeting Farm images, which are some of my favorites. I love the star embossed background. Fabulous coloring on the image also.

Peggy AKA Grandma Pearl submitted this boy card. Love the texture of the paper and elements that she used. Now that you've been inspired, take that inspiration and create. You have until Saturday at 8pm to enter our challenge this week. Let's see those "All About Boys" projects.

Ribbon & Buttons Inspiration

Hi there! This is Barbara showcasing a few highlights from this week's challenge. As you know, the theme is all about ribbons and buttons and we have some wonderful entries so far! I love how these entries used the ribbon on thier projects!

This first one is a gorgeous layout by Libeeti and the handmade ribbon flower is what caught my eye. I love how she used two different colors and two different techniques to put it all together!

This second project is a card from Christine N and she also uses ribbon to create a flower. I love the texture it creates on the card!

This card is from Piali and I think the ribbon does a wonderful job at accenting the center image! It's a great example how elegant a card can be even with a simple and bold ribbon.

Lastly, this is a card I made using Sweet On You digi image from Freshly Brewed, this week's sponsor. Remember this week's winner will receive 3 digis of their choice! Doesn't that icecream look yummy?

You still have a couple days left to get your entires in and the winner will be announced on Sunday. I hope these have inspired a few ideas for you and we can't wait to see how you use your ribbon and buttons!

Baby Challenge Inspiration From You!

Our challenge this week is a baby theme and we kicked it off with a wonderful surprise blog hop for Kris! So far we have some wonderful entries submitted into the challenge and today we're going to feature two of those projects for inspiration. Remember, the challenge ends tomorrow and the winner will be posted on Sunday - so get those creative juices flowing!

This first project is from Julia's Paper Place which demonstrates how simple and elegant a white card can be. I love how the splash of blue draws you in and all the embossing details keeps it interesting.

This other inspiring project is from Sugarpea Designs. Instead of a card it's actually a door hanger and reminds me that not all projects have to be cards! ;D I love the image she used and the combination of browns and blues adds a sophisticated appeal that's great for home decor.

Great job ladies and thank you for participating! I hope these projects have inspired the rest of you and we hope you'll join us for our baby challenge this week!
