{Loads of Love}

        Good Afternoon! My card today features an image by High Hopes Stamps, and it is one of my all time favorite images of all time! The little girl holding the pumpkin is just so cute. The whole time I was coloring the image I was thinking of my friend LeAnn and her two adorable munchkins. The image was colored with SU ink, and blender pens. Actually, everything I used to create this card is from Stampin' Up! I used Chocolate Chip and Always Artichoke grosgrain ribbon, and the buttons, and card stock are Rose Red. I used two sentiments from the SU set "Loads of Love", and the scallop border was made using the Scallop Ribbon Border punch. I am entering this card in two challenges, the High Hopes Stamps Weekly Challenge. We were given a recipe challenge which was to use 1 circle, 2 squares, and a scalloped edge.
  I hope that you are having a good weekend, and thank you for visiting my blog today!

{Sweet Sweet Summer}

Is this not one of the "sweetest" images you have ever seen!? Sometimes when I am working on a card things just seem to fall into place. I colored this adorable High Hopes image months ago using Copics, and Promarkers but didn't make it into a card until yesterday. My paper hoarding problem finally payed off and I actually had paper with watermelons on it! The DSP is by KI Memories. Love thier paper. And the super cute watermelon ribbon is by Offray ribbon. If you ever happen to be in the Hagerstown Maryland area you MUST stop by the Offray Ribbon outlet. Ribbon paradise! I stitched the squares, and layered my SU word window punch for the sentiment which is from PTI. I love the way this card turned out! I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend and thank you for visiting my blog today!

Every Day is a Gift!

Such true words, every day truly is a gift! I love this adorable High Hopes image of a basket of kittens! For this card I used SU Baja Blue, and DSP from the super cute Cosmo Cricket line "Material Girl". The cute ribbon is from Hobby Lobby, and the epoxy brad is from SU. I colored the image with a set of new "Pro-Markers" I recently was lucky enough to win! These markers are so nice, and like Copic and Bic Markits they are alcohol based. The sentiment is from the PTI set "Everyday Bits".
Now for the winner of my Button Blog Candy. I used mytexttools.com random number picker to pick the winner, and the winner is......

Tracey !!!

Tracey, please email me at cardsbyronnie@yahoo.com with your address and I will get the buttons out to ya! Thank you everyone for playing along, and I will have another fun candy in the next week or two so keep an eye out.

I'm Back with a (late) OCC Challenge!!

We got back home from our week long trip to Corpus Christi Texas on Saturday. It was so nice there, and truthfully I had no idea that the gulf coast was so beautiful! I hope to go there again this summer and maybe we will do some beach camping. (I have always wanted to do that) Anyways, I started the card I am posting today before we left, and finally finished it yesterday. It was from the OCC March 6 Challenge. I have had a sick little munchkin since we got home from Tx, so I have not had much time for anything else. I used a WishRak image that I received featuring an adorable High Hopes Bunny Rabbit! I used my Prisma's and OMS to color him. The DSP is by K and Co, and was stitched with my little Janome sew mini. I layered felt flowers, and used an Embossing folder from Stampin Up. The ribbon is also SU. I love this cute card!

Two weeks ago I was super lucky enough to win this blog candy from the Paper Crafts Magazine Blog and I got that package on Monday! I can't wait to play with my new stamps! I rarely win anything, so this was a very nice surprise. I hope that you are enjoying the beautiful spring weather, and if not, I hope it comes your way soon! Thank you for visiting my blog!

{When Life Gives You a Rainy Day!}

How can you not smile when you look at this adorable image from High Hopes stamps? They have so many adorable images that are perfect for coloring! For this card I used new DP that I picked up from the Target dollar spot yesterday. I know I have said this so many times before but it is tough to beat the awesome deals you can find in the Target dollar spot! I used Bic Markits and SU Markers to color the image. I love Bic Markers and until I win the lottery and could afford to buy all of the Copic markers these will work just fine. The buttons are from the Wal-Mart craft section. If you have not checked out the bags of buttons from Wal-Mart you should because you can get a nice sized package for only 1.84. I love them! The inside of the card has the second part of the sentiment that says " Remember to play in the puddles" Anywho, I hope you have a great day and thank you for visiting my blog today!

{A Weekend of High Hopes}

Good Morning! I hope that all of you had a great weekend! I am sad that it is Monday all ready. I spent a lot of time in my card room this weekend working on this card that I submitted to the High Hopes Guest Designer spot! I know the odds are very slim that I will win one of two coveted "Guest Designer Diva" spots but ya can't win it if you aren't in it, right?! For this card I used one of High Hopes adorable dragon images. So cute! And I did not have a sentiment to go along with the image so I used our laser printer to write my own. I think it is perfect! I used DCWV's new "Animal Crackers" stack, and the SU Colors Bashful Blue, and Green Galore. The sketch I used is Katharina's Sketch. We were asked to use this sketch to make the card we wanted to submit to the guest designer call. One of my favorite things about this card is the "reptilian" Fiskars Texture plate that I used on the background. It matches the dragon PERFECTLY! I love my texture plates! I hope that you guys have Happy Mondays and thank you for visiting my blog today!

Happy Joyful Birthday!

Wow, Friday is already here. Where did the week go? Come to think of it, where did the last year go? lol. I finally understand what my parents meant in response to me wishing I was "13", "Don't wish away your life because time goes by fast enough as it is." They were definitely right about that one. Anyways, for today's card I used an adorable High Hopes image RAK'd to me by me sweet friend Kelly at Crafting Creatively
I colored him using my Prima's and Gamsol. The DP is Cosmo Cricket's "Cogsmo", the perfect paper for boys! I used my Ovals Nestabilities, and SU mat Pack on the paper piercing. The card stock and ribbon are all from SU. We don't have any exciting weekend plans due to the potential ice and snow tomorrow. Have a safe and happy weekend!

An Elephino!

Strange Blog title right? Well, when I was younger my Mom told us a joke that went: What do you get when you cross an elephant with a rhinoceros? Give up? An Elephino! I know it is super corny, but it gave me a chuckle thinking about it. Anyways, if you are still reading thank you for sticking it out. For this card I used an adorable image and sentiment from High Hopes stamps that my sweet friend Kelly RAK'd me. I used my Prisma Color Pencils and Gamasol to color him in. I had to add a little pink to his ears and cheeks to give him a little personality. The DP is from the DCWV Sweet Stack. The solid color Card stock is SU's Regal Rose, and Certainly Celery. I also used SU Rose grosgrain ribbon for the bow. I also used the Cuttlebug Embossing folders Swiss Dots, and Houndstooth. The layout is this weeks sketch challenge at Splitcoast Stampers. I love it and plan to use it in other cards. Here is the sketch if you would like to try it for yourself. I hope that all of you are staying warm this week. Thank you so much for visiting my blog today!

Blessings

This cute little cat is a stamp from High Hopes given to me by my sweet friend Kelly. I used prima pencils and gamasol to color it in and my new Curly label punch and stamp set on the Merry Christmas sentiment. I used my DCWV Holiday stack and Big Lots ribbon to accent the card. Today is a good day because we received good news about my Dad so I can finally breathe a deep sigh of relief. We have been blessed yet again and this Christmas will be extra special because we have even more to be thankful for. I hope all of you are having a wonderful week and thanks to all of you for your thoughts and prayers. The power of prayer DOES work!

Fairy Merry Christmas!

Happy Tuesday! It is cold, cold here so Cam and I are staying inside today. This card is pretty bright, and much "busier" then my usual card but I think it is a fun card nonetheless. For the first time ever I used Goo Gone to blend my prisma pencils, and I am not happy with the end result so I am sticking to Gamasol. Anywho, the image and sentiment are from the adorable stamp company "High Hopes". I used stickles to accent the fairy wings, buttons from Sam's Club, and ribbon from Target. The DP is from DCWV, and I used my Fiskars Shape cutter to cut out the circles. . I hope you are having a great day!

Spiders and Frogs

These sound like the first two ingredients of a magic spell don't they? Well, last night a spider decided to take up residence in the corner of our back sliding doors. It gives me the heebie jeebies, but on the other hand I can't help but to appreciate the beauty of the web the spider made. I took this picture today and I am thrilled that my camera captured it so well!

Now for the "frog" part of this post! I made this card today for my sweet friend Tonya to give to her brother. The image is from "High Hopes" stamps and it was a PIF from my friend Kelly. Isn't it the cutest? I seem to use this layout often but I can't help it, it is one of my favorites! Again I am sorry for neglecting my blog, but I promise to be better . I hope all of you have a happy, and safe weekend!

Monday, August 25, 2008

I received several adorable images in a RAK from my sweet friend Kelly recently and this was one of the images included in my package. I believe this image is from High Hopes. I am in LOVE with these stamps! They are so very cute, and a lot of fun to color. For this card I used my prismas and OMS. The ribbon is from American Crafts, and the CS is Really Rust, and More Mustard from SU. The teal CS is from a stack I bought by DCWV. I used my new Cuttlebug embossing folder "houndstooth". I had a wonderful weekend with my hubby and baby boy, and hope all of you had a great weekend two! I am especially excited about this coming weekend because it is Labor Day and Joe has a 3 day weekend! Yippie! Have a wonderful Monday!
