Looking at Patterns in the Sky

Beautiful cumulus clouds floating in a deep blue sky

There are some positive aspects to the marine layer that has been blanketing the South Bay cities for a few months now. Usually, the sky is leaden grey, with a diffuse pale light illuminating the land. However, when the clouds break up, the brilliant blue sky contrasts with the remaining puffs of cloud to form lovely skyscapes.

It leads to hours of cloud-gazing fun!!! ;-)

Enjoy!!!

In a Mist

rain clouds, twilight, pink
The last rays of the setting sun paint the undersides of the rain clouds a gentle pink hue.

I'm too tired today to do any quality blogging. The Daylight Savings switch always messes me up, especially if I have a late Saturday night. Throughout the day, I've been fuzzy headed and aimless. It's like my mind is in a mist.

At least the weather seems to have cleared up and gotten a bit warmer. Being a native Californian, I like my days pleasantly sunny and warm. However, I do appreciate the beauty of dramatic weather, at least if I don't have to spend much time outdoors actually dealing with it.

Oh well, I think that I'll call it an early night. ;-)

Castles in the Sky

Clouds reflected in the high windows

Lately, the cloud formations have been beautiful down here in the South Bay. So I decided to take a few photos. ;-)

I've never been much of a cloud-gazer, but I think that I can become one. There's something restful and dreamy to watching the wispy white vapors drift across the blue sky, changing along the way in a slow and subtle manner.

It's beautiful.

Sunlight streaming through dark clouds

And the shapes inspire the imagination.
