When the weather is hot I like to work on little projects, they are nice and portable and I can move around the house with them looking for a cool spot to sit and stitch. Natalie Bird is my most favourite designer, I love her projects and this little pin cushion is no exception, made in my favourite fabrics Maramalade.
I actually enlarged the pattern just a tiny bit and made my hexagons 3/4 "
The whole project turned out so cute.
I also made this cute little pear from a Fig tree pattern, I love their designs, easy to read and follow.
Its another hot day here so I'm taking it easy and working on some secret sewing for an easter swap.
Enjoy your day.

I love catching up on posts on your blog Leanne, as each project completed gets prettier than the last & it makes me itch to get behind the sewing machine. I have a pressie to finish today & some stitching tonight on a Nat Bird Christmas cushion. Tracee xx
Well the heat isn't stopping the creative juices in you. Lovely work.
I love your projects! It's bleak winter here so I long for spring...summer heat not so much but still, there are green leaves and grass in summer. Winter is so brown here. I love how you combine stitching and embroidery. Just adorable!
Cheery wave!

I like your choice of fabrics and patterns
They are adorable! Your stitchery is always of such good quality.
Love your new pincushions. The little house one looks fabulous in Marmalade. I have some of your pear fabric stashed somewhere... so pretty. Hope it's not too hot over there....
Your pincushion and pear are so beautiful, your work is awesome, and I'd have to say I'm feeling a little nervous about the 'secret sewing' that's happening at my place when I see your lovely work :-)
Have a great week Leanne...
