Udate on Crystal and Family

Well the kids were very lucky! Crystal and Spencer had been to the Dr. this morning to have Jayden's heart checked. They found out she has a heart murmur just days after Sage's passing. So the Dr. said it sounded good but would order some tests to be sure. They called with the good news then went to Costco to grocery shop and pick up some diapers. They were on their way home from Costco when a woman pulled out in front of them to turn into her housing development.

An of duty fire fighter witnessed the accident and phoned 911. He also treated everyone on the scene immediately. Crystal could hear and see that Trey was fine but when no sound was comming from Jayden she just started screaming. The paramedics wanted to give her a shot that would knock her out for days, as they put it, so she could just rest. Some of these men remembered them from the day Sage passed away and they were just heart broken for them.

But being the trooper Crystal is she was fine once she realized Jayden was okay and just stunned/shocked. Teele and I drove her to the urgent care because she didn't want an ambulance ride. She knows the Dr. that owns the urgent care and he got her right in. Plus he was aware of Sage's passing and treated her with much needed compassion.

So the x-rays said, she broke her wrist and elbow on her right arm. They think she separated the ribs from her sternum but are awaiting a radiologist to review those x-rays. They put her in a half cast, gave her a shot of Tordol (sp) and some Vicodin and sent her home. She will see an orthopedic next week. Her arm is really bruised. Her shoulder and neck and most everything hurts.

But they are all alive! So more blessings! Grandma will be spending days and nights at Crystal's once Spencer returns to work. With Trey in a cast he needs carried to the bathroom and sponge bathed and such. I mean really I can't help but wonder "What the heck?" but Heavenly Father never gives us more than we can handle and there is always something to be learned from every trial.
The other car. I'm so glad her two children were also fine!

Crystal and Jayden's side of the van

She is so exhausted! I'm worried about her.

Car Accident

Just asking for some more prayers. Crystal and Spencer were just in a car accident. A car pulled out in front of them The Children are fine and Spencer is fine. Crystal is injured and being transported. Will keep everyone posted.

Bomb At RaLee's School

A freshman at RaLee's school built a home made bomb today and kicked it into a crowd of kids in the courtyard before school started this morning.  Most of the kids had just been picked up from the seminary building and dropped off at school.  I was so worried when I didn't hear from her.  When I did it was to learn that RaLee was in the courtyard and estimates she was about 20 feet from the explostion.  I was relieved to learn she was okay but my niece, Marissa, wasn't.  She was hit in the back by spraying chemicals and burned.  They transported her from the hospital to a burn unit.  We are still awaiting news of her condition so keep her in your prayers.

Marissa is Teele's sister Konnie's daughter.  She is such a quiet and petite young lady.  This whole thing makes me sick.  The school waited 2 hours before calling 911 and had the kids shower off assuming it was "only vinegar and baking soda" its  just unbelievable.  Her family recently moved to the valley after Christmas and Konnie expressed concerns about having her in a school here in the valley.  She was worried about her safety and now this happens.  I worry everyday I send RaLee to school.  It's just a scary scary time we live in.

Here is an excert from the local new's report"
"The sheriff's office said it was treating the bottle and mixture as an “improvised explosive device,” or IED, usually a description reserved for deadly homemade explosives used by terrorists.

Meanwhile, a Rural Metro official said the school didn't contact 911 when the explosion occurred and instead had the children take showers. Rural Metro was finally notified about 2½ hours later.

“We were never called for the explosion. We should have been,” said Bill Grubb, deputy fire chief for Rural Metro. “The call didn't evolve right. Somebody made a mistake.”

District officials said school staff called poison control and followed directions on how to treat the students, which “provided the students with temporary relief,” according to a prepared statement.

Paramedics were called later when the students again complained of “some discomfort.” The statement said school officials were still investigating the incident. "

UPDATE: I spoke to Konnie and Marissa is home and doing well. She has about 12 first degree burns and one larger second degree. So we are very relieved that she is home safe and sound with mom and dad. There might be a public/parent meeting tomorrow night at the school that they are trying to get put together so parents can come ask the school officials questions and to peacefully voice any concerns.
