For Memorial Day Weekend we had planned on going camping, but the weather where we were going was supposed to be windy and rainy all weekend so we decided to stay home rather than pull our camper 2 + hours just to be stuck inside all weekend. We had a very productive weekend at home and still got to go visit family so it worked out nicely. Friday was stormy but Saturday was beautiful and we got a lot of yardwork done. We got a bunch of stuff cleaned up (finally!) that the previous owners had left behind and took a trip to the dump. Thanks to the bad winds we've had a few times we also had to haul off our new (but ruined trampoline) and a shed that blew away just a couple days after we assembled it. We've learned our lesson with the wind here and hope to replace the tramp (again) this summer and finally use the ground stakes that we bought for our first tramp! Anyway, on our productive Saturday we also mowed our 'lawn' and planted some grass seed on some spots where we pulled out some dead trees and filled in some holes. It's starting to look more like a real lawn around here.

On Sunday we went to visit David's Grandma.
It rained (and snowed) the entire drive there and back, but the wetness let up a bit while we were there. We got to try out David's parents' new toy.
I didn't get any pictures of this, but Brianna had some plastic Easter Eggs that she snuck on our little road trip - they came in handy and kept the little kids busy as she set up a mini egg hunt in Grandma's yard to use up some of their energy ;-)
On Monday, Memorial Day, we woke up to...snow!
Brianna wanted to go outside and catch snowflakes and look at them through a magnifying glass so we grabbed some rain boots, rain coats, and some black foam and headed outside.
Trysten came out and joined us after a while (Kaylee was still sleeping) and tried to catch snowflakes on his tongue - I love how he closed his eyes to keep the snow out. The snowflakes got huge - like mini snowballs, it was so cool.
Then I caught him trying to get a drink out of the gutter - who knows where he learned that!
What more can you expect for Wyoming weather?!? One week after we get snow we finally had to use our AC in the house!
I love the view of the snow kissed mountains after this storm.
Thanks for visiting - I'll be back with more!
