Decorating with Farmhouse Ladders...

If it's one functioning farmhouse piece of equipment I love,
it's an old wooden ladder... (Or maybe five :)

I thought I'd share where I found our ladders and how much they cost us, in case you are in the market for a ladder and wonder what would be considered a good deal.

Indoors, they add a touch of rustic charm and are great to  hang blankets off (for easy access) or to display favorite farmhouse linens.

My favorite style of ladder is a vintage tripod orchard ladder. The one in our living room below was found at a yard sale, is about 5' 10" tall and cost just $25.

Repurposing Farmhouse Items...

When we moved here two years ago, we discovered a few horse jump pieces had been left in the arena, including the red "X" below.

When considering what items we had on-hand, that I could use for simple Valentines touches, I thought the chippy X would make a cute "Xo" (kiss, hug) message on our entryway dresser.

Happy Autumn on the Farm...

Happy first official day of Fall!

Last week, my sister texted me, saying there was a "vintage antique country" sale being advertised by where she lived. Vintage, antique and country.

This was serious. We were on it.

I found this rustic vintage wood scoop that I filled with our *new* colored eggs...
