J- discovered, as did I many months ago, that with the advent of Wii Sports, it's possible to strain much more than just your thumb while playing videogames. Two hours of Wii Bowling may get you (J-) a lot closer to Professional status (a.k.a. Dan League), but it can also get you a sore shoulder and hamstring.
As a seasoned veteran, I know enough to recognize Wii Shoulder on the horizon and to switch to lefty in response, so I was in the clear the next day. There's nothing like watching someone lay on the couch after a long day of work only to hear her complaining about being sore from all the videogames she played on the weekend.
The sad thing is, you may have noticed we're on a bit of a Wii kick of late, and odds are good we'll both be right back at it today. She should probably let herself heal up before facing me again, but then she's just as competitive as me. Maybe I'll do some Wii boxing during naptime today, to keep it fair. With our luck, we'll both be stiff as zombies tomorrow.

Yep. You know you're old when Guitar Hero leaves you in pain.
I've only played Guitar Hero once, but for a long time, and I can imagine having useless claws for hands after going on a binge with that monster.
I wonder if you could get disability benefits for that?
My hubby doesn't play video games but he played Guitar Hero every night until the wee hours for a couple weeks when we first got it. I still haven't been brave enough to try. Now I feel like gong home and challenging some family members to some Wii play! Oh, the addiction!
You're telling me! Now I just want to go over to my cousins' house and play some more Guitar Hero.
I hope my kids at least read as many books as I did before they start playing as many videogames as I have... lol
I found the next wii game you can challenge your wife to, and you should have a distinct advantage with it over her. Bonus, it can act as a practice/training tool for D.

Sweet! It seems that consistent aim and flow control aren't objects of the game, though-- I could learn all new skills!
lol I think she'll get a kick out of this, I'm gonna call her in to check it out
Looks like it cut off the url...

There, hopefully it works, just take out the space in the middle =)
Not sure why hitting cats is an objective, but it does solve the age old question of what to do if there are three empty stalls and you can't decide which one is best. Hmmm, perhaps it wouldn't be a good idea to let a 3 year old see that one, especially if there were any cats around!
Yeah I didn't get the reasoning for the cats, either, but I guess it's better than the alternatives that immediately spring to mind.
You're right, I definitely don't want to plant any seeds for extracurricular peeing, given how much I have to deal with rogue pee as it is!
