CAS-ual Fridays It's All About the JOY!

Hello!  Today I am sharing a bold and simply CAS Christmas card on the CAS-ual Friday's Blog...

Now I have to be honest that this card is not exactly what I first had in mind.  My original idea was to create a one layer background by masking the rectangle and adding red Distress Oxide ink to the center of my cardbase... only I had quite a few spots where the masking tape didn't hold and red streaks were outside of the masked area.  But I did love the way the red and spritzed silver looked, so I didn't want to completely throw it away.  I decided to just cut the area out, adhere it to a new cardbase, and problem solved!  I then stamped and embossed the joy sentiment from the Joy Stamp Set, and cut it out to adhere over my inked rectangle.

Thanks so much for stopping by and if you would like to do a little shopping I have a code for you to use...

Handmade Ornament with A Muse Studio

Hi!  I thought I would stop by and share an Ornament I created for the newest A Muse Studio Release...

To create this ornament I used half of a plastic ornamented backed it with the largest die cut Pinking Circle A.  I adhered the Largest snowflake from the Snowflake Trio, and infant this was a left over cut from this card...

I then filled the ball with Diamond Glitter, Snowfall Sequins, and clear Sequins.  I also added a sentiment from the You're the Coolest Stamp Set and I adhered it all together with hot glue.  I tied it off with Bermuda Silk Ribbon.

I also created a little tag to go on the side so that the ornament can be attached to a gift or be the gift itself.  I've used the Tiny Tags Stamp and Die Set as well as the You're the Coolest Stamp Set for the tag.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you'll pop over to the A Muse Studio Store to see all of the new products if you haven't had a chance already!

25 Tags of Christmas With CAS-ual Fridays

Yay!!!  I just love when Tracey McNeely hosts her 25 Tags of Christmas, and I'm super excited that I get to be a part of it!  Today's Feature is CAS-ual Fridays!!!!  And I simply adore being a Girl Friday. Michelle is not only a creative designer but she is a wonderful person with a huge heart.  Each time I have a chance to share something with one of her designs I feel truly blessed and honored to be a part of such a wonderful company and team.  With that said here is my tag to share with all of you...

For my tag I opted to create a shaped tag.  The Sleighride Stamp and Die Sets are some of my favorite Holiday sets.  There is just something about a sleigh that makes me feel warm, cozy, and happy!  After Diecutting my tag shape I stamped the front of it with the sleigh itself and colored it in with a mix of Spectrum Noir Markers. For a sentiment I chose Joyeux Noel Sentiment from the Noel Fri-dies out of Gold Glitter Cardstock.  I then added some Holly and Sparkle with my Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen.  To finish the tag I tied some white ribbon through a hole in the top and added a twine bow.

Make sure you head over to Tracey's blog for more details and giveaway information!  Thank you so much for stopping by and checking my tag out!  And I have one more goody to share with you...

DCWV Light Up Terrariums!!! Say WHAT?!

Ahhh!!!  Evertime I get a new stack from DCWV I think, this stack is so awesome, I love it, it's my favorite!  And I'll be darned if they didn't do it again!  Hi, it's Lisa here with you from the DCWV Social Media Design Team and today I am sharing my newest Holiday Home Decor created with the new Light Up Terrarium Stack, seriously it is too cool take a peek...

Aren't they gorgeous?!  And you would not believe how easy they go together.  These were done in about 30 minutes!  SCORE!  Here is a picture of what one of the smaller terrariums look like when popped out of it's page...

Everything is perforated for you when you first open the stack, so all you have to do is punch each terrarium out.  The scoring is also already done, so all that comes next is folding.  Finally with a few strips of strong double sided tape ( I would recommend the 1/8" size because of how small the fold lines are ) your terrarium is put together and ready to light up.  Another tip I'd like to share is that this stack comes with two light sets, I stretched my second set out to fill two of the smaller terrariums and let the cord go behind my larger one.  You could use both sets in the larger terrarium and instead use small fake tea lights in the other terrariums, or mix and match however you like it!  Also note that you will want to run the batter pack out one of the bottom corners, so make sure you slide your lights in leaving one side open until you have the batter pack outside of your terrarium then you can seal that side up too.

And there you have it, a wow factor to your Holiday Home Decor, bragging rights to tell everyone that you made them yourself, and still plenty of time in the day to freak out about other Holiday happenings hehehe!

CAS-ual Fridays Final Release Day: Powerful Words

Here it is the final day of new releases for CAS-ual Fridays, and it has been awesome if I do say so myself hehehe!  Today we are sharing the Powerful Words Stamp set with all of you...  I decided to create something a little bit different to show how versatile these sets can be as well.  Since I've had Christmas on the brain lately, that's exactly what I went with...

To create this card I started by inking up one of my acrylic blocks with green and red ink, spritzing this with water and "smooshing" it onto the cardstock.  Once this was dry I stamped and embossed the sentiment in 24 K Gold Embossing Powder.  I then hand drew a frame around it and finished it off with some splattering of gold spray.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and don't forget to head over to the CAS-ual Fridays Blog for more inspiration and then to the store to grab this set for yourself!  Plus I have a discount code you won't want to miss using...

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Release Day 5

We are on to day 5 people! Woot woot!  And I am so happy you are here!  Your comments and kind words have really just made my week, you people rock! For today's post I am sharing two very different cards with two different stamp sets soon to be released by CAS-ual Fridays...

My first card uses a chalkboard look with the new Mistletoe & Holly Stamp Set...

To create this card I started by stamping and embossing the holly and sentiment with white embossing powder.  I then used a white colored pencil over the image before going over it with a colored pencil.  I then finished it off by smudging some white pigment ink randomly on the card stock, and added some red rhinestones to set it all off.  I then adhered this panel to patterned paper.

My next card is fun, funky and totally not traditional in any sense of the word...

For this card I used the new Holly Jolly Borders Stamp set which has some really great images for making backgrounds, borders or however you wish to use them.  I used the lines to stamp my background first then I hap-hazardly went over the lines with the thicker end of my Copics.  I love the fun artsy look it created, and it totally saved me the stress of trying to color perfectly in the lines.  I also decided this card just needed to be loud and fun!  I then used dies from the Tag Ornament Fri-dies to add some sparkle and to frame my sentiment from the Christmas Sparkle Stamp Set. I also chose to pop my sentiment up with foam adhesive.

Now make sure you pop over to the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Blog for lots more inspiration and details on how you can win a gc to buy some of these new goodies when they are released!  Also, don't forget to use my coupon code to save a little money when you make your purchases too!
