Create a bloom
We are all playing with Linnie Blooms canvas flowers this week, and I had an idea to make a poinsettia, but the week got away from me and now it is 2 days past Christmas, so I decided the red poinsettia in my mind would become a winter poinsettia instead.
I started with the Linnie Blooms canvas sunflower, and snipped away every other petal. I used five Linnie Blooms canvas leaves added in as more petals. To color these, I started by rubbing with white and sky blue vivid oil pastels (I was very random and didn't color the whole petal) and then went over it with Distress Stain Faded Jeans. I outlined in Stickles and added some pearls for the center.
At some point, in the middle of my creation, I decided this would be a great tag for this New Years Eve. Thinking about New Years Eve made me think of confetti and so I quickly punched out some big dots, added a glittery 2014, and I am already to dress up a bottle of wine.
Wishing you and your family
a very happy, healthy New Year...
one that tops 2013!

Playing with Canvas Pieces by Rochelle :)
Hello Crafters! It’s Rochelle today to share with you my projects that I created using Linnie Bloom’s Canvas Pieces.
For my first project I used Linnie Bloom’s Canvas Long Blank, Sunflowers, and Leaves.
I started by covering the Long Blank with Tattered Angels mist and Dylusions Ink Spray and set aside to dry. I then started to work on the Sunflowers.
I used Tattered Angels mist first to color the Sunflowers. Once it dried I stamped a small patterned onto the lighter color Sunflower. I then layered the Sunflowers with tule and topped it with a canvas sun shape from Studio Calico and a rhinestone from Queen & Co. I didn’t do much with the leaves other then mixed the greens with Tattered Angels and a Gelato.

I finished my Long Blank by adding half of a doily, some tule, a paper doll I made with the Prima Paper Doll stamp, a tag that I stamped with a quote and stitching and added my title with Thickers.
My second project I wanted to share with you today is Canvas Flourish Pocket and a Canvas Owl from Linnie Blooms.
I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with this pocket, but I definitely knew I was going to give it away as a present. It’s perfect for adding a gift card or money into the pocket along with a tag.
For the the Canvas Owl, I stamped it and lightly inked the edges. Then I added cardstock for the wings and Queen & Co. Rhinestones for the eyes.
I always have so much fun creating with Linnie Blooms Canvas pieces! I hope these projects have inspired you to give it a try! You can check out Linnie Blooms store HERE.
Thank you for stopping by Linnie Blooms Blog today! :)

Hi Everyone! My name is Julie Kraling and live in central Iowa with my Husband and 12 year old twin girls. My family is everything to me. They are the loves of my life. My daughters amaze me with the things they can do at such a young age. The other love of my life is crafting. It is the calm in my crazy life. I love paper- love the feel, the smell, and texture, and I love to create with it. I am happiest and am my truest self when I am creating. My crafting style changes with my mood but I always have to use some ribbon on my projects! You can see my ever changing style at my blog “ A Little Bit of Bling” http://jk-littlebitofbling.blogspot.com/. If I am not in my craft room you can probably find me in the kitchen cooking (which is another love), riding bikes with my girls, or loving on my pets. I look forward to my time on the Linnie Blooms team and hope that I can inspire you in some small way.

Meet the Designers - Kelly Starsky
Being a mom to 4, wife to 1, dog-mom to 2, pediatric physical therapist, jewelry/bead artist, pathological picture-taker, Girl Scout troop leader, un-paid chauffeur, painter, chocolate chip cookie monster, Sunday school teacher, and one crafty chick means I am busy or crazy, (or maybe a little of both). Scrapbooking (and all of my artsy passions) let me bring all of these layers of my life together. And then, I have a reason to escape to my craft dungeon too.
I describe my style as “a little bit of everything”. Sometimes it might look flowery, sometimes vintage, sometimes shabby, sometimes full of layers, and sometimes clean and simple. It often includes LOTS of photos. Oh, and I have a passion for purple (ever since I was 7 and I had a purple shag rug and posters of Shaun Cassidy and the Fonz on my wall).
You can see my artsy escapades at my blog, She’s the Crafty Neighbor, www.kellystarsallthingscrafty.blogspot.com
The Linnie Shape Flower is colored with Distressed Stains. The Linnie Shapes Butterfly is colored with Distressed Stains and outlined with Copic marker.

Meet the Designers - Rochelle Spears
Happy Weekend! Today I would like to start introducing you to my design team. They are a great, diverse group of girls and I know you are going to love getting to know them and seeing the awesome projects they come up with using my new products. So, first off is Rochelle Spears.
Hello! My name is Rochelle Spears. After 15 years of Real Estate, I "retired" in 2010 and became a SAHM!! I have 5 children (24, 20, 14, 7, and 5). I have a wonderful husband who supports my craft to the fullest! I have been scrapbooking since 2003 and I just can't get enough of it! I love product... the smell of new paper... I love seeing the creation in my mind come alive on my paper! I love putting the final touches on my layouts and the biggest love of all... is watching my husband pull out my scrapbooks when guests come over! :) I don’t really have a set style... I love bright colors, shabby chic, messy and playful layouts and sometimes love to just go simple and clean. Besides my family and scrapbooking, you will find me traveling, reading or watching Netflix! I love coffee in the morning, Peach Ice Tea during the day and chocolate at night. This is me, Rochelle. :)
