It's been a good week. Finishing up a few last minute things (including brunch at Isabella's!) in the city and heading back home tonight. Highlights: getting caught in multiple downpours, Shake Shack, catching up with good friends, amazing food, staying with this lovely lady, birthday dinner and Just Dance, the National Stationery Show/Surtex, mastering the metro, the Manhattan Temple, window shopping, visiting The Met, and lots, lots more. It's been good.

Ready for Summer

Miss Claire somehow tricked me in to *wanting* to be outside last night to play with chalk...that little kid is so good at getting her way! She's fun to talk with on the phone and is starting to form sentences that actually kind of make sense, so when she asked if I'd come over to play, I couldn't turn down the offer. She also managed to get into my sister's nail polish and covered her legs in pink because she wanted "pink wegs" (pink legs) to go along with her pretty princess pink toe nails. Oh, and Katie now has a pink mirror and a pink bathroom sink. Gotta love the pink! Back to the chalk...I loved that my phone camera snapped the pic of Claire kissing Katie when it did--I love it! And I totally love Bubba's little smirk on his face when I gave him kisses...sure do love that kid! Dreaming of warmer weather and long summer nights.

Headed to Arizona tonight with some friends to visit Gina for the long weekend. Ready for a break :)

Headed to...

• 4th largest city in the U.S. of A.
• population: 2.3 million peeps
• 6th largest metropolitan area
• classified as "humid subtropical" and known as "the most air-conditioned place on earth"
• international headquarters of ConocoPhillips
• 3rd largest skyline in North America, one of the top 10 in the world
• Residents eat out more in this city than in any other US city--with more than 11,000 restaurants
• the 17-block theater district is second only to NYC

...any guesses where? I'm trying to pack and get things together for a super quick trip to Houston where I'll meet up with my mom and head to a quilt show! Slightly excited! Yay for weekend trips!

Any MUST DO'S while in Houston for 48 hours??

Back To Provo

Blogging from 10,000+ feet up! This is a first for me: free wifi on my flight and live TV...currently catching up on news and The Office is up next! Orlando was great, but cold! So much for going to the beach and getting tan, right? :) I don't know that I'm ready to head back to the snow!

Need some help coming up with a New Year's Resolution (or a few resolutions)? Check out this Resolution Generator!
We were talking about resolutions last night in the spa, and one of my goals for 2010 is to go to lunch or dinner with a friend every month just to catch up! I find myself saying too frequently, "let's get together soon," or "let's catch up!" but then never follow through. Now I don't have an excuse! Let me know if you want to do lunch! :)

Stuck.

Being stuck at the Salt Lake Airport isn't very fun. At least there's internet, right?

Chicago Recap!!

Back from Chicago and St. Louis! It was a crazy and busy and fun break--it's not easy to come back to work after playing for a week! We had some idols on our flight over to Chicago...yes, THESE idols! 8 of the top 10 American Idols were on our flight! David A and C were MIA, but the rest were all there: Chikeze, Ramiele, Michael, Kristy, Carly, Brooke, Jason, and Syesha! At the SLC airport, everyone for the most part left them alone, but as soon as they got off the plane in Chicago, people swarmed around to get pictures and autographs! It was fun seeing them in person after being a faithful watcher this past season!
On Thursday after we got our booth all set up, Ashlee, Danielle and I headed down to Navy Pier! We had fun walking up and down the pier and tried to stay in as much shade as possible--it was so hot and humid! We had some good food from Bubba Gump...so good! After dinner, we headed towards Michigan Avenue! All the shops were closed, but it was fun to walk up and down that famous street! We caught a taxi to get back to our metro stop and passed by Millennium Park and THIS sculpture...I wish we could have spent more time downtown, but I guess I have a reason to go back!
We had fun at the show...a lot smaller than the Anaheim show, but we still had a good time!
