July 2008 Jackson Trip

My parent met us in Jackson a few days after we arrived. We found a campsite in Alpine, Wyoming and stayed there for the 9 days of this trip. We took them to the famous Million Dollar Cowboy Bar in the historic part of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It is an amazing museum.

The 4 of us drove up many canyons around the Tetons. These photos are from a tram ride at the ski resort.

We called Johnny Biehn (John Biehn's son) and met him at his house in Wilson. We ate at the famous Bar J Ranch and saw the Bar J Ranglers. We have seen them several times now and still love the show. We met Johnny the next day again and he took us on a ride on some amazing 4x4 roads in the back country. We saw moose, tons of buffalo, wild flowers, butterflies and the scenery was spactular! Thank you Johnny!

We lived in our trailer for most of July. Steve had to work only 5 days this month between our SW Colorado trip and this Jackson trip. It is so amazing to really get away for this long and get to know each other like you can't do when you are at home with work and other stresses that get in the way. We save all year for our trips, we feel they are so important. I like to say, "Work hard to play hard!" I live by that motto. I was able to ride only one time this trip for 50 miles from Alpine to jackson and back. My bike trips are coming up fast and I will be ready!
