Woof everypups. Toby here. First I'd like to say thank you for all of the get well wishes and healing vibes that were sent from all of our doggie pals out there in the Doggiesphere. I really appreciate the gesture. I'm feeling a little better today but there is still swelling around my eye and jaw and it hurts really bad to eat doggie biscuits, which really bites! So I'm on a soft food only diet for awhile(squirrels and rabbits are soft, aren't they?). The Doggie Doc isn't really sure what the problem is, she's thinking that I might have been stung by a scorpion or bit by a spider so she's going to treat it with antibiotics for a week. If there is no change by then, it's back to the Doggie Hospital for more tests. Mom says I can go to Gucci's party but since I'm on medication I have to be the Designated Barker(I'll bring some Rimadyl for you, MJ)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOBY
Six years ago today Toby came into our lives. He was a frightened, starving little pup with a broken leg and Mom found him stumbling along the side of the road as she was headed home from work. He was so afraid of her that he tried to run away but he couldn't because of his injured leg. But Mom was very patient and carefully picked him up, put him in the car and hurried to the Doggie Doctor. As Mom was driving to the Doggie Doctor the little pup whined and cried so Mom turned on the radio and that seemed to calm the pup down and he soon drifted off to sleep. After having his leg set in a cast and a couple of days at the Doggie Hospital, Toby was allowed to come live with us. He was very timid and shy and it took a long time before he would even play.
Top Dog Scuba had a long talk with Keiko and Norman and together they worked with Toby and helped him overcome his fears. Scuba taught Toby how to use the doggie door, Keiko taught Toby how to play and Norman taught Toby how to lift his leg. Soon Toby was happy, healthy and terrorizing anyone who dared venture into the yard. And as far as how Toby got his name, the song that was playing on the radio when Mom was rushing him to the Doggie Doctor was 'My List' by Toby Keith. Little did Mom know that when she named that frightened little pup after the country singer, he would soon take on some of Toby Keith's bad-ass attitude and the rest is doggie history.

VALLEY FEVER-NOT A DISCO DANCE
Norman here, just another trip to the doggie doctor and it wasn't a good one. The doggie doc had to give me a sedative and of course she had to twist me into all these unnatural positions that dogs were never intended to be in to get the x-rays she needed. It seems that I have some weird-ass fungal infection called Valley Fever in my left front leg, not arthritis as was previously diagnosed. I heard the doggie doc telling Mom to keep me from digging in the yard because the spores that cause the weird-ass fungal infection live in the dirt. So now I have to take some weird-ass pills for the weird-ass infection and I can't even dig holes in the yard. This really stinks. But on the bright side, I've been getting lots of attention, not to mention lots and lots of biscuits. And Mom didn't even yell at me for dragging that rabbit into the kitchen.
