Nurse it better

Here's a lovely make by Liz,
a cute little tissue box,
with the all time fave the Owl Builder Punch.

My little nurse is a little cross eyed,
but sweet all the same methinks,
and she helps keep the box closed.

I think this would make a good class project,
so do join us if you fancy some crafty fun and techniques,
and I always offer the yummiest biscuits!

So, if your feeling blue, or off colour at all,
I hope this makes you smile at least.

Take it easy

Stampin' Up! Owl Punch

Starry starry night........

I'd seen a couple of cards like this on Pinterest, and just had to have a go!
Two owls  and two branches punched from black card,
a circle for the moon.....
Then I got out my white gel pen to highlight........hmmmm
it didn't look quite right, so I got out my white ink pad instead,
daubed a halo around the moon, and around the edges of the owls.
I then made some tiny dots with the gel pen......hmmmmm.....should have been more random.....
hmmmm....added some glitter glue dots on top.....shame I smudged some, and made a shooting star.
Lots of hmmmm-ing and lots of room for improvement,
but it was fun trying!
.
I totally love the concept though, don't you?

Cheeky Block Card

Here's a simple Block card
for a GREAT Nephew!
His Mum makes GREAT cakes,
hence 'bring on the cake'!.
The cute owls were made with the Owl Punch.
The Block card can be viewed from all angles....
including behind!
Here's a close-up of the cheeky backside...
Have a good weekend!
In spite of the weather!

Special Lady

Hello!
I don't know if you've noticed, but I haven't posted as often lately.....
no? how very dare you! lol
Well, I've had a horrible cold, and I still feel below par,
but I've soldiered on, like you do....
ok, you can stop the 'air violins' now thank you!

Anyhow, I had to show you what I made for a very special lady...my M-I-L....
She's the best!

If you only like clean and simple..LOOK AWAY NOW!
Sometimes I just can't help myself...sorry!

I used the Six-sided Sampler stamp set from Stampin Up!
(that's a bit of a mouthful!)
The Hexagon punch saves on the cutting out, and gives a much neater finish.
Spot the silver glimmer paper?
Doily, flowers, itty bitty punched flowers and dinky heart, (from the owl punch), plus Rhinestones,
all mounted on Melon Mambo cardstock, with a Gingham Garden paper border.

I hope to be back a bit more often, so I look forward to seeing you soon!

team day cont...

I've just realised I forgot to take a pic of Liz's swap....
probably because it was so cute, I hung it up on the wall!
So, I'll share her 'make' instead!
We had a lot of fun with this!
Ripping the branch shape, and embossing it...
stamping the wood-grain background....
punching the cute owl, which we then inked around the edges,
added some punched leaves, and a cute greeting from the itty banners.
Good one Liz!
