Autumn colours

It’s like someone pressed a switch from summer to autumn!

I think I may have blinked and missed summer to some extent…..just busy I guess.

So I’m popping by with a couple of autumn cards for men…

I had an embossed sheet of that I’d coloured with inks, with lovely leaves, that set the scene.
I then found some coordinating designer series paper and a border die,
that I used to chop the embossed piece in two.

I stamped and inked the relaxing man and the tree, cutting them out to sit on the paper background.

I’m taking this to the Allsorts Challenge #797 “autumn colours.”

Here’s the second card with the other half of the embossed piece.

This is the border die set…

I’m taking this to the Inkspirational Challenge #324 “make your mark”,

I’ve coloured with inks using a brush, blending brush, and blending pen.

I’ve intentionally left them without words, so I can choose when I decide to send them.

Hope it’s warm and dry where you are!

Lesley

A Good Man Very Versailles

Hello
I'm here with one for the boys.........

A Good Man, with Very Versailles for the "tree".
I used various browns on cream for this one,
using up some old papers.
A few copper enamel stars complete the scene.

As I used snippets of cream and brown card, and an old piece of DSP (designer series paper),
all die cut with stitched rectangles and a square, I’m skipping over to the Snippets Playground Challenge.
Do join in the fun up in the treehouse HERE.

Hope you have a relaxing day

BLACK, WHITE AND GREY

Hi there

There's a blog challenge over at AllsortsChallenge Blog.

This week it's Black, White and one other colour.

So Today I've gone with Grey as the other colour.

I used a blank card from my stash, with the grey stripes as my starting point.

A simple one for the guys, from the stamp set A Good Man.....again!

I can't help it, I love it, and find male cards hard to design.
I stamped him in black, using a white card scrap,
coloured him with grey Blend Pens,
and added my favourite-embellishment-for-all-time, the Pebbles!
These are from the new Spring Mini Catalogue, ask if you'd like a copy.

A Good Man on the beach

It was a Nephew's birthday, and I picked a favourite set A Good Man,

along with some stamps free from a magazine.

I really wanted to use some NEW embellishments from the NEW catalogue.

As soon as I saw them, I had to have the Pebbles Enamel Shapes, and Faux Sea Glass Shapes.

It's often the little things that catch my eye :)

I had to build up the scene using lots of masking and ink blending,

it was a lot more difficult than it looks, they were separate stamps.

I added the pebbles around on the sand (bottom ones hid a small mark!)

He was coloured with blend pens, white pen highlights on the sea

I decorated the envelope....

....and inside

A Good Man

As you know I love this set, A Good Man, for mens cards,

this one for "him next door"......that's what he says every time he phones!

He doesn't get much time to relax, with a big garden and lots of projects on the go,

so hopefully this will encourage him to get his deckchair out!

I used Very Versailles to create the "tree", well you need shade in case you nod off eh?

Another Good Man

 Hi there

we gave Mum a good send off on Tuesday.

It was a lovely day all things considered, the sun shone,

everything went to plan, and we laughed as well as cried.

With immediate family there were about 20 of us.

We were so lucky that we were able to attend,

and to have been with her during her last week on this earth.

So many have suffered much worse during these exceptional times.

I have not posted much lately, so have much to catch up on!

Using those lovely papers again, giving the illusion of texture,
and A Good Man stamp set.
I coloured him in with Blends, and wrapped some twine around.
It was a simple card but the stitched dies add lovely detail.

I hope you have a good weekend

A Very Good Man

Hi there
I have been unable to blog recently, due to a bereavement,
but I wanted to celebrate my better half's birthday today,
so I'm back, and hoping to share some of my recent makes.
I just love A Good Man stamp set, and needed a quick and simple design,
so got out the In Good Taste papers, and cut two designs to fit the A5 card.
A little bit of colouring, and stamped greeting on fussy cut "bricks" did the job.

Sadly Mum died recently, but we managed to get her home from hospital to spend her last week,
where we could be at her side, until she was ready to go to join Dad who died last year.
It has been a difficult year in so many ways, for so many of us,
but we were so lucky to be with her in her final days.

I hope you and yours are keeping well
thanks for stopping by

A Good Man collage

Hi There
Happy VE day !

I made a batch of cards for Mum to send, as she can't get out to choose cards.
This personalised one uses memories and more cards from SU.
These are various pictures/patterns/sizes, some with areas to stamp/write.

It's an A5 card, so I filled the space with various designs.
The central one had space to stamp the man in deckchair

I added some enamel shapes, dotted about for interest

Relax Your Way!

A Good Man 21st

HI there, another male card, this time for a 21st birthday,
hence thought the car key paper might be apt.
This one I coloured using ink and an aqua painter, matching the colours to the paper.

A Good Man

Hiya, here with a great one for the guys, using Stampin' Up!
A good Man.
I die cut a stitched rectangle of paper (for a car fan),
added a stamped stitched die cut square, and a few Candy Dots

I took two shots, but I don't think either are very good photographs!

Have a good day
