new dolls

today's project was to get a few dolls done. i just love making these dolls. easy, fun and the creativity of what you can do with them are endless. off to bed!

i had several requests (thank you for the interest!) to see my resin pendants individually to get a better idea of what they look like, so here they are. i've been adding them into my shoppe today (still have a few more to go, but working on it).

this pendant, featuring "the girl with the pearl earring" says on the left side "after much thought, i've decided not to do the laundry today" - SOLD!

this one is SOLD, but i will be making more featuring her, as she is very popular.

icon

here is the icon i worked on yesterday. i love the contrast between the atlas background and the skeleton. i think it is pretty cool.
so the second attempt at registering for Artnsoul, Portland, went much better - no glitches at all. i feel so bad for Glenny and Cindy. even if this is their business and all that goes with it - i don't think i could deal with all the whiney (like me for instance!) about the issues with registering. let's just hope it is smooth sailing like that from now on. here's what i am taking:
wed - A Little Art of Remodeling Book with Misty Mawn
wed night -Transfers & Transparencies w/ Diane Downs Lou
thurs & fri - Step Into the Story--Jewelry Technique Workshop w/ Nina Bagley
sat - off to play
sun & mon - House of Style w/ Sally Jean Alexander. we are making a soldered doll house with furniture - looks challenging!

here's what i worked on today

the first picture is a flower shrine assemblage. it was another project i did using items gleened from my work desk! the second picture is a canvas icon collage (8x10) i added fibers around the edge of the canvas. i liked to think of the two women fresh from their Easter bonnet win, ready to take on the night! both items can be found in my etsy shoppe, http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5072419.

another journal cover

another journal cover, originally uploaded by keeshagirl4.

well, i definitely like this one better than Lady Garish! i think i didn't really like the other image to begin with, so no matter what i do to her, i still don't like her! she's not normally a picture i'd use, but i found her in a free pile and took the copy with me.

i'm happy to report that tucker is feeling much better after that stomach virus. he'll be going back to school tomorrow.

i call her Lady Garish

i call her Lady Garish, originally uploaded by keeshagirl4.

this is on the cover of a journal i altered today. i feel bad, no matter what i did to her, she remains so unattractive! "handsome" is what my husband calls her!

another icon, Marie- Antoinette wanna be

i have a bunch of these frames, so i guess i'll be having fun making icons and putting them in my shoppe or sell at my upcoming show in May.
update: sold!

Icon

I just LOVED Anahata's icon class. i love collage and have been doing it for years. her icon class was very inspiring in ways to bring texture into a collage using various inks, etc. so i was fiddling around today and made another icon collage.

i used a leftover image from her class and then put it into a frame i picked up at a garage sale. this icon will be going into my etsy shoppe. the frame is plastic, possibly vintage - it is very ornate, but not heavy. the whole piece measures 10x12
