April, May, & June Coordinates

With the Anime Expo crush over the last couple of months, I haven't had much time to wear Lolita (or blog, apparently) so I only have ten coordinates in the last three months.

Wait, did I say ten?! Somehow, even with all of the convention planning, cosplay sewing, and friend-wrangling, I managed to be able to wear a lot of Lolita.

April Coordinates

April was another busy month for Lolita--again, I had five opportunities to get dressed up and hang out with people, which was so much fun! I've been trying to wear Lolita at least once a week this year, and been quite successful recently.

(Late!) March Coordinates: Five coordinates, many styles

March was a pretty crazy month for me, with Hanadoki Con preparation and several other events, along with lots of cosplay sewing and all of my non-hobby life. But, I still managed to have time to dress up quite a bit, and here is the late coordinate round-up!

February Coordinates: A little bit of every major substyle!

For such a short month, February ended up being very busy for Lolita events and excuses to dress up! When I was going through all the pictures to make my monthly post, I realized that I managed to wear an outfit in each of the major substyles--two Classic, one Gothic, one Sweet, and one Ouji!

January Outfit Roundup

Only two outfits this month, but January is usually a slow month for meetups. I love that having a monthly community swap meet means there's always a guaranteed opportunity to dress up, no matter how everything else goes! We also had a movie night meetup.

BABY/AatP New Year's Lucky Pack 2014

This year, I ordered the "BABY＆PIRATES スカート＆ジャンパースカート入りバラエティパック" (Skirt & Jumperskirt Variety Pack) as my Christmas present to myself. Lucky packs are so much fun, even if you end up with a few things that don't work out. I was actually pretty happy with this one--it was a great deal, and four out of the six items ended up great for me!

Pacific Media Expo 2014: Sunday ~ Fashion Show

I had the privilege of modeling in the PMX Fashion Show again this year, this time for Alice and the Pirates. It was basically a dream come true being able to model my very favorite brand, and getting to dress up as a pirate no less!

My wonderful husband got tons of great pictures of everyone on the runway, so it's thanks to him that I can share all of these with you. This is a very picture-heavy post; you have been warned, but I hope you forge ahead anyway!

July Coordinates: SDCC + casual community meetup

Since July was mostly taken up by Anime Expo and SDCC preparation, I was busy basically non-stop! Somehow, I was able to wear Lolita several times, which was a nice break from cosplay. Early in the month, we had a last-minute meetup at our favorite tea shop, and then I wore Lolita for two days of SDCC. I also wore a casual coordinate at AX, but never managed to take a picture (it was my Rapunzel cutsew OP, for the curious).

February Coordinates: Berries and chocolate and clocks, oh my!

February was another busy month for Lolita, with a photoshoot, a couple of meetups, and Dapper Day at Disneyland! I've started sharing my outfits on Tumblr, and it's a lot of fun to see how far they go there. You can follow me at konekoanni.

I think my wardrobe transition from Sweet styles to Classic/Gothic is very nearly complete--though I did bring out some sweeter outfits for Valentine's Day. Keep going for the outfits~

EGL Wardrobe Theme 2014

For the last four years, the main EGL Livejournal community has done a Wardrobe Theme for the month of January, where members take pictures of their clothes and organization schemes and share the with the larger Lolita community.

This year, I participated again, and as always it was so much fun to see how my wardrobe has grown and evolved over the last year. You can check it out here!

Autumn Outfit Catch-Up

There have been a lot of fun events recently, and so many great opportunities to wear Lolita. I've been dressing up so much that I haven't even gotten photos of some of the coordinates! Between the events (and event posts) there are still outfits that haven't been posted, so it's time to catch up.

Pacific Media Expo 2013 Fashion Show

This year's Pacific Media Expo was a mix of cosplay and Lolita (though mostly Lolita), and as always, tons of fun. I spent way too much  money in the boutique, modeled in the fashion show, and ran around as Sailor Uranus.

Overdue SDCC Post

It's been so long that I'd almost forgotten that I had pictures to post about SDCC! As always, I spent most of the week of con working as volunteer staff, which is so much fun but keeps you very busy. I didn't get to go to very many panels, but the ones I did attend were great. We also had a big Lolita meetup on Sunday, but I'll save those pictures for another post.

January and February Outfits

January and February saw a lot of Lolita events for me--lots of dressing up and driving was done, but I'm okay with that! I also bought and moved into a new house, bought and sold some Lolita things, and finished a commission. It's been a busy couple of months, that's for sure.

Int'l Lolita Day and December Outfits

The holidays hit us pretty hard this year--lots of travel and work to do. Joey and I are also in the process of buying a house, which is very exciting! I'm looking forward to having more space to do baking in.

August Coordinates and a Busy Lolita Weekend

August came and went, without a lot of big Lolita events--just a few small meetups, and I was pretty bad about getting outfit pictures! When it's just the local group hanging out for an evening, I feel like I'm just dressing up for a normal night out, and not like it's something fancy. I think that is kind of a good thing, because it means I'm comfortable with my outfits. Comfortable enough that I don't take pictures!

I managed to get two pictures from the three small meetups in August. It doesn't help that it has been very warm the last few weeks, so dressing up in petticoats and layers is not a great idea. Hopefully things will start to cool off soon, but it's been difficult!

Then the second weekend of September was crazy! Two big Lolita meetups, on after the other. First was a big Paris-themed meetup in Los Angeles, and then My Sweet Memory II put on by the amazing Tijuana Lolita group. I had a lot of fun at both events, though the car trip was not that fun in the heat.
