It's Raining

It's raining this morning. I love rain. I hate rain. I love it when it rains on "my time". I hate it when I have to go out in it. I realize that I really am a "sun" girl. I need to see it. It keeps my affect up. I find that I am more groggy, and sometimes downright sulky on rainy days.

As I think about the rain and the sun. I realize that it is not unlike our lives...except the words should be turned into reign and son. When I let schedules and "stuff" have reign in my life, there is no SON. But, when I let the SON (Jesus) be in charge, then HE reigns over my life and all is well. I pray that Jesus the son has complete reign in me today so that I may be a light into other's darkness.

I think I love the rain today!

Blessings!

What's the BUZZ???

So, what is it? One son says, "Don't blog, Mom." Actually, it sounds more like this: DOOONN'TTT BLOG, MOM! The other tells me he learned some things he didn't want to know reading his friends' blogs. I wonder what he thinks I would write anyway? The other two really don't care as they are more into The Kids Next Door and Sponge Bob to pay any attention. Although, truth be told, these two probably have blogs already and just haven't told me---they're quite tech-savvy at very young ages!

I have found myself totally immersed in the blogs of complete strangers over the past couple of days. Some have sucked me in and almost entranced me with their stories, thoughts, and ideas. I am intrigued.

When I think about what it is that draws me...I can't really put my finger on it. I know, though, these are wise people. People who are trying to find their way in the world using their "pen" (ok, keyboard). I remember a day when I was younger---about the age of my two older sons when my pen helped me make sense of my world. It could take me places that no one else could. It helped me as I worked out feelings, wrote sappy poetry, and long letters explaining life to anyone who would read. Hey! I might have been blogging "before blogging was cool"!

I thought I'd try it out and see if I could join the throngs. Who knows? I may just figure a few things out.

I sure hope so!
