-Mr. did help with dinner tonight. He sliced potatoes for scalloped potatoes and told me he wanted floured breaded pork chops. Well it's my least favorite way to eat pork chops so I compromised. I dipped them in egg, flour and panko bread crumbs, fried till golden, then finished them off in the oven. everything came out great (we ended up eating much later than I like, and everyone ate it all), and we have TWD Dorie's Perfect Party Cake to try in a bit.

sorry for any typos I've had this week, lol. I just noticed some and I've been copying and pasting most of my rules. =)

Blogoversary Party Day 6: Giveaway 2: Naturally Nora

In honor of my Blogoversary, I made a Naturally Nora Alot'a Dots cake. Do not laugh at it, my frosting did not set up, I think because I used some margarine when I didn't have enough butter (and Nora suggests to use either)...but I whipped that frosting forever and it never thickened. Even after chill time it did thicken a little but when I frosted it, it just melted. *sigh, So use butter, it'll hold itself together, much better. It was still really good!
