Handmade Vintage Inspired Lilac Ticking Needlecase

Had abit of fun yesterday making one of these vintage inspired needlecases.  Used old vintage images of sewing items.  I am very tempted to keep it myself, but have enough of this material to make another one. It is now in my etsy shop for sale. 

Been thinking of making a single patchwork quilt with the sewing machine.  Already purchased the fabric a while a go. Keep you posted on the progress. 

Summer days on the beach

Just hope the sun comes out more now that the summer holidays are almost here.  For those of you who are dreaming of summer holidays on the beach, I was thinking of these nantical hearts. These beautiful blue stripe hearts would look great in a seaside theme room.  I used to have a blue and white bathroom in my old house and this rustic seaside heart would compliment it.

Love is in the air

We had about 2 inches of snow this afternoon, there wasn't enough to sledge or make a snowman, but the "little one" was quite happy making tracks all around the garden. He said now that its snowing do you think Father Christmas might come back. I had to smile.

I found this gorgeous fabric a couple of weeks ago, so decided to make a load of these hearts. This fabric is a lovely Scandinavian/folk design. I have listed them on etsy a few weeks ago. I was quite pleased that I had a sale this morning for one of these.
