Lacy Sunshine Challenge

It's challenge time at the Lacy Sunshine blog!

The challenge is have a heart, so in keeping with my Christmas cards I used the perfect image

I just love all the hearts on her wings and, even her wand is a heart :)
I think I did a good job of blending the challenge with the 'hearts'.

I coloured her with my copics, and used washi tape ( polka dots), I added a button with cord and a heart to go with my sentiment.

Thanks for stopping in :)

It's a Lacy Sunshine challenge

The wee hours are winding down to play along at the Lacy Sunshine challenge.

The theme is 'seasons' and the card I made is for my niece

This card is a Christmas card for my niece coloured with copics (I will add her name to the top right after). She is very outdoorsy and never goes to the movies in the summer. Come autumn, she is at the movies 24-7. When I saw this image from Lacy Sunshine I knew I had to make this card for her. Inside will be gift cards for her to attend the movies. So a card and gift in one :)

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day :)

It's Lacy Sunshine time

Oh boy do we need some sunshine. It's really, really rainy. Not your typical rain but a solid down-pouring. Hopefully it will let up soon or my basement might flood-eek!

Anywho, the challenge at the Lacy Sunshine blog is -include a window.

Here is my entry

I coloured it up with my copic markers and used lots of buttons for dimension. A sentiment and bow was added to finish it off :)

Thanks for popping by :)

Lacy Sunshine Back to School

It's time for another fab challenge at the Lacy Sunshine blog. The theme is back to school.

I always love to tuck little notes into my kids lunch bags. Last year my oldest told me it was embarrassing, (sigh) I'm not ready for him to grow up yet :(

Anywho, I'm not sure if this will be for my daughter or her teacher but I like how the background papers came together.

This image was coloured and cut for another project I didn't end up making, but I like how it works on the angle. She was coloured up with my copic markers and the sentiment I printed on my computer.

I'd like to enter this into:

Clear it out challenge time!

It's a yellow challenge at the Clear it out challenge blog!

Head on over and see what the gals created with our sponsor

I used the adorable image Macy Boo for my card.
I really wanted to play up the yellow so I busted out the copic markers and made this

I made the starburst pattern and went from there. I added flowers from my stash and then added a star. It just needed something in that corner. The sentiment is from my computer.

When my children were younger they each had a specific song I would sing to them. For my daughter it was 'you are my sunshine'. I love at almost  6, she still crawls in my arms and asks me to sing it.

Anywho, the challenge runs for one week and since it's a random draw, anyone can win!

I hope you'll join us

I'd also like to enter this into the Lacy Sunshine contest 'flowers'

It's a birthday celebration....

at the Lacy Sunshine Challenge blog! Eleanor and pickles are turning 2 and it's an anything goes theme.

Here is a card I made using one of Heather's flower pot pretties.

I coloured her up with my copic markers and used up some ugly paper for the background. I tried a different colour pallet than usual but I think it worked out all right. I added Stickles to the center of each flower for some bling.

I'd also like to enter this into the following challenges;

Lacy Sunshine Challenge

It's a dark, goth challenge at Lacy Sunshine!

When I saw that I thought, oh darn how do I do that? BUT, there was also the option of making hair a funky colour for the challenge-that I could totally do!

Here is my 'trying to be goth but failed' , odd coloured hair -girl card ;)

I am not sure why I chose to write surprise or why I coloured her heart black.....maybe I could write on the inside 'I'm breaking up with you' -lol.  Anywho, she was coloured with my copic markers and I used lots of layers. The scallop edge is a reflections border sticker (love those!) and I finished it off with ribbon.

Do you have trouble making goth cards? I mean seriously, look at that cute innocent digis face-lol
Thanks for stopping by  :)

Anything Goes at Penny's Challenges

Lacy Sunshine is sponsoring the Anything Goes challenge at Penny's challenges.

If you haven't visited Penny's challenges before this is the perfect week to do so! The challenges run weekly beginning on Wednesdays.

Here is my card using Alexis Cherished Wings. When I saw her in the store, I had to have her! This is what I created

I coloured her with my copic markers adding half pearls to her hair. I added a butterfly and some pearls in the corners. She was cut out using a spellbinders die and it was finished off with a pink ribbon from Stampin' Up.

I have been enjoying visiting your blogs and I look forward to seeing what you have made this round :)

Lacy Sunshine challenge

There is a challenge going on right now at Lacy Sunshine with the theme of  Anything Goes.

I used this super cute digi that was a freebie on the L.S. facebook page.

She is so cute that I wanted to do a CAS style of card, here is what I made

Isn't she adorable? I coloured her using my copic markers and added a die cut in the corner. The ribbon is a adhesive one (bought at Michaels) and I added a rub on ' you mean the workd to me'

I roughed up the edges on the first layer to give the card texture, too.

I am also entering these challenges:

Lacy Sunshine, Clear it out Challenge mash up

Tee hee, can you tell I never know what to write as my title?

It's challenge time once again at the Clear it out Challenge Blog. The theme/stash is Purples.

This cute but ugly image, called Sherry Stinky Buggmee is from the Lacy Sunshine digi shoppe

Here's what I did with it

The purple flowers are from my stash that I have had since about 2004. I coloured it up with my copic markers and added a button to the flower made from spellbinders. I have no idea what I'd use this card for. I thought maybe 'heard your feeling a little green' or maybe just 'hugs'.

The challenge runs for one week and this is the last week to vote for your favourite DT card, please vote for them :)

I'd also like to enter this into the current Lacy Sunshine challenge as green/purples is one of my favourite colour combos :)

Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it!

Lacy Sunshine Challenge

It's challenge time at the Lacy Sunshine blog. I used this adorable ladybug image for my card because she looks so much like my daughter, crazy curls and all.

I chose this one as my little peanut is considered a 'ladybug', being in senior kindergarten. Last year she was a bumble bee. And when she moves on to grade one, they are called butterflies. Cute right?

I have found some really fun things for her this year including this adorable paper at Michaels.

Here she is...

Thanks so much for stopping by :)

It's challenge time at Lacy Sunshine

The flowers are starting to come out of the ground so this is a perfect challenge for Lacy Sunshine!-add flowers.

I used a cute little digi that looks soooooo much like my daughter. I had other plans for this digi when I got her,but I think it works well here too.

Isn't she cute :) I am not a fan of orange and pink but in the spirit of clearing out my craft room I stumbled across this card base and decided to use it. I coloured her up with my copic markers and added a flower and sentiment to finish it off.

Thanks a bunch for stopping by, enjoy your weekend :)

Penny' s Challenge-All things new

It's challenge time over at Penny's Challenges and the sponsor is the fabulous Lacy Sunshine!

We were allowed to select an image to use and I picked Haley Hydrangia.

I love Spring. It is the beginning of all things new. It's the season of the resurrection of Jesus.

When I saw it, it looked like Haley was coming up out of the pot, new, blossoming. I knew what I wanted to do.

To me this card represents dying to self, kneeling at the cross and following Jesus. The dead leaves represent the old, the bright flowers represent the new. We are all works in progress. I even thought about what she is looking at. To me the butterfly is the perfect symbol of a person coming to Christ. I think this would make a lovely Baptism card.

Some of you may look at the card and say 'nice card' and not understand what I mean. That's okay, I just wanted to explain how this card came together :)

Penny's challenge runs for one week. The winner gets 3 Lacy Sunshine images.

Lacy Sunshine

I had fun colouring up this digi while waiting for my 12 loads of laundry today.

The digi Mayde Laundry Days was a freebie to play along with on facebook.

I photoshopped the background and words adding the black/white digi to colour. I used my copic markers to colour it up. The frame was one I had on hand from Ikea.

Here is a closer view

I hope to hang it up in the laundry room...once I find the floor. I still have bedding to wash!

I am linking this up to the Lacy Sunshine Challenge blog

Hope you like it :)
Have a great weekend!

Time to Clear it Out!

It's another great challenge at the Clear it out Challenge blog! Head on over and play in our 'food/punches' challenge.

Lacy Sunshine is our fabulous sponsor this week. Here is the image I chose to play with Lolli Sticky Wings

I coloured her up with my copics and used my corner punch around the image and base. I added a flower/button  from my stash. I also added a scroll from my new  spellbinders die set-woot, woot!

Totally excited I got this! It was free because I bought it using gift cards -check out this post to find out how.

The challenge runs until Monday at 8pm (note the new time ending)

I'd also like to enter this into the progressive challenge at Lacy Sunshine Challenge blog.

Goody Goody Gumdrops!

There's a progressive challenge over at the Lacy Sunshine blog!

I had to giggle when I read the challenge theme 'Spring Colours'. Yesterday we had the windows open and sweaters on, today we are in our parkas shoveling snow. So good to be in Canada! Actually I love the snow, it's the sleet I could do without. Makes the snow so darn heavy!

Anywho, I loved the digi that was free this challenge Gemma Spring Flower Gumdrops, she inspired me to create this word art to use on my card.

I've added it below for you to use if you like :)  I thought this could be a card you can send to someone with good news to share.

Thanks for stopping by, I loved reading your comments today about my daughter's card. She was grinning ear to ear from all your kind words.
hugs
