Your Next Stamp Challenge # 19.

I've finally managed to find some time to prepare a card to enter one of my fav challenges: Your Next Stamps Sketch & Color Challenge!

This is the sketch for Challenge # 19

And this is my card:

I've recently treated myself with a couple of stamps from High Hopes featuring Annie Lang designs. I've always been a fan of Annie, I think I have all her painting books and tons of painted items featuring her elves and bees around the house.
This is Chilling Charlie colored with Copics and positioned on a paper from Graphic45.

The neon green dots on the card are a gift from my daughter. She bought them while on holiday in the UK and they are fantastic! I couldn't wait to use them! She also bought a neon pink set!!! She knows me well!

This card is for the following challenges:

Elegant Squid.

You know, I sometimes often fall in love with certain images and I feel the urge to create something with them.

This has recently happened with Squid Doodle from 2CuteInk:

The only "squid" I had in mind before seeing this one was Spongebob's friend...
I found "her" so elegant that I matched the digi with a girly paper from DCWV and added water bubbles with rhinestones, to make it even mre girly.
I particularly love the flower on her headband!

This squid as well as many other summer-related images with super-cute animals can be found here in 2CuteInk Etsy shop!

2 Cute Ink Challenge # 129 - For the Birds.

It's time for a new challenge at 2 Cute Ink!

The theme is "For the Birds" and we've had the chance to work with this amazing stamp:

It's called Nature Owl and is available in 2 Cute Ink shop.

This is what I've created:

It has a sort of autumn feel, maybe the colors?
My teamies have made wonderful cards! Check them here and be inspired!

2 Cute Ink Challenge # 125 - Glitter.

Hello!
Welcome to a new 2 Cute Ink Challenge!
We have a great theme this week, one of my fav: GLITTER!!!

We want to see glitter on your projects, easy isn't it?

I glittered this beauty:

It's Angel Fish Doodle from 2 Cute Ink, colored with Copics and lots of glitter (Stickles precisely, I LOVE Stickles!).
I made the background paper resizing the digi and positioning it on the paper at random.

Our DT made great cards for this challenge: check them here!
We're also looking for a new DT member, check all info here on the challenge page! The Group is great so don't miss the opportunity to be part of it!

And... start creating, we can't wait to see what you come up with!

Bugaboo 5th Birthday Party Celebrations - Day 5.

* * This is my third post today, please scroll down to see my project for C.R.A.F.T. Challenges * *

Here I am again for another card to celebrate Bugaboo 5th Birthday!

The theme for the Wednesday Challenge is Humor Me!

This is my card:

I LOVE this girl walking around as if she were a princess! I'm totally different from her but for once I'd like to feel like her!

She is Not Everyone Can Be a Princess from Bugaboo Stamps of course. I colored her with Copics and mounted her on a circle card covered with a striped paper from Papermania.
I loved this clean and crisp look!

To a Special Grandma.

Hello!
Here I am today with another new creation for Eat Cake Graphics.

This time I chose the super-sweet and super-funny Kitty Cuddles likes Gran's Hat and made this:

One of my small cards with a vintage feeling.
Or at least this is what motivated my choices for the bakground paper (from DCWV) and for the color of granny's dress.
When I chose this stamp I didn't notice there was a bird on the hat, the reason why Kitty is trying to reach for it!
I LOVE these little details in Eat Cake stamps!
I'm so sorry I have no grandmas to send this card to!

I Love This Card!

Today I'm happy to show you one of my favourite cards for this year:

I made it a while ago using Paddling in the Canoe, a super cute stamp by Eat Cake Graphics.
This time I imagined a boy paddling at night under a starry sky and a big moon.

I regret I have only a few scraps left of the starry paper so I don't think I can duplicate thi card... I'll probably keep it for myself for a little while...

Memories...

While summer is coming to an end, I regret I haven't gone to the seaside this year.

We are not far from the sea, not the most beautiful sea in the world but it's one hour drive from home so it's worth going there even for a day.

For years my daughter and I used to spend a couple of weeks at the seaside with my mum.
The first year she was six months.
The second year she could walk and the first day, while putting her feet on the sand, she started crying... she then understood it was nice to walk on the beach...
Another year she fell while jumping on a wave and she cried out loud for she had swallowed some water.
After a few years, she read me little books while waiting for the time to go and have lunch.

We didn't go for a couple of years and, in July, my daughter went there again with my mum, my sister and her cousins: she prepared her suitcase and I waved her goodbye. She didn't want to take her toys to play in the sand, she now swims like a pro and she probably reads better than me...

Ours was a yearly vacation, we knew we would have gone and every year there was something new to discover and something old to remember.
Although it was not "my vacation" I enjoyed the time I spent with my daughter, teaching her new things, reading her bedtime stories and waiting for dad when he reached us for the weekend.

This is why I chose this stamp and made this card:

This little girl reminds me of my daughter playing at the seaside and enjoying the water with her floatie bear!

A Step Back in Time.

It seems I'm slowly back on track even if, with Easter just around the corner, I'll surely be behind schedule again soon...

Anyway, I have a few minutes today to share a card I made a while ago using one of my Kraftin Kimmie Stamps. I love their images and every now and then I treat myself with some. Unfortunately, I have little time to use them being busy with DT requirements.
One day I took out all the stamps I wanted to work with and started stamping them: at least I have tons of images ready to be colored!

The first one I colored is Sabrina the Spinner (which seems to be our of stock since I can't find it in Kraftin Kimmie shop). My original idea was to keep her vintage style in the colors of the card but I found a dotted lilac card and I decided it was the perfect match for my image.

Here's my card:

I chose this lovely dotted lilac card from Dovecraft and matched it with a very old paper with flowers (sorry, no idea of where it comes from). I added a lilac lace ribbon my daughter gave me for Christmas and the image of Sabrina colored with Copics.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

A Treasured Card.

Good morning!
I've been thinking about this blog post for about one week.
The reason is that I made a card a long time ago, one of those I love, I treasure, I keep secret waiting for the perfect moment to show it.
The challenge over at A Day for Daisies gave me (in almost one week) the motivation to share it with you.

This is the card:
You won't probably find it anything special and I admit I've probably made more beautiful cards but this is one of my favourite, if not my favourite!
I've used "Treasure" digi stamp from A Day for Daisies and colored it with watercolor pencils and glitter.
Very clean and simple but yes, my fav!

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Well... the only thing I have to do is to click and my card will leave for the world...

Another Sweet Sketch.

This week challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday was lovely and it was easy to make a card using a digi I painted a while ago.

The sketch is:
and this is my card:
The sponsor this week is DigiStamp Boutique so it was perfect to use this lovely girl, which I colored with watercolor pencils as usual. Papers are: the dotted one was free on a magazine, the daisy one was from one of those very old Sizzix pads I discovered tucked away in a box.

This card will be entered in the following challenges:
and

I'm so sorry I always have little time to dedicate to my post but at least I can have a bit more time to make cards!

Another Sweet Sketch!

While trying to discover the inner reasons that bring me to blue for Valentine, I made a card for a challenge, for my favorite challenge, Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

I decided to go for a winter/snow theme and... it is turned out in pinks! For such a theme I would expect ice blue colors but no, I preferred pinks...

Anyway, this is my favorite challenge because every time I entered a card I received so many sweet comments! Unfortunately, I don't manage to enter each week but I always look forward to wednesdays to see what they come up with.

This is the sketch to follow:

Luckily enough for me, the sponsor is DigiStamp Boutique: I really love their digis and I have some to choose from to make my card.

I colored the digi with watercolor pencils and used a patterned paper from Dovecraft and some punched snowflakes embellished with little rhinestones.

I love the way it turned out, even if it has no traditional color for a winter card. I'm not a winter person so some pink helps me to get through cold and dark days!

Well, better go. Monday morning means house cleaning... but I'm happy because today it means Post Office too!
On Saturday, while sending some cards to a US Customer, I found out that our Postal Service raised shipping fees on Jan. 01 and I was shocked because it was an incredible increase. It took some time to figure out how to update the shop, crossing my fingers that this increase wouldn't affect my sales.

Have a nice week!
