2012 is here and at the Ett Trykk blog we have a new challenge.

Make a "One Layer Card"

This is my card for the challenge.

I used kraft cardstock, white opaque ink, swirl stamps from Crafty Individuals(a gift from Hanne), white pen, bling embellies from Papirdesign, sentiment from Stempelglede and ribbon from Walmart.

Warm Thoughts

This is a card can be used for many occations. The sentiment says" Warm thoughts" and it's a nice card having in my card box for different celebrations.
I used papers from 3ndypapir(green), Inkido(pink) and October Afternoon(blue). All edges are distressed and inked with brown ink. The sentiment is also from Inkido. Wings behind the sentiment are made with Hearts Wings die from Tim Holtz. The ribbon is vintage wrinkled ribbon I made myself.

Fabulous Friend

Here's a card I've made to a friend of mine. The papers I used are from Maja Design. Stamp is from Stampin Up. It qualifies for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge this week - Someone Special.

 The ribbon is from Nille and behind the knot I have put some grunge board wings from Tim Holtz. They have been painted with crackle paint and sprayed with several colours of shimmer sprays. The sentiment has been cu out with two punches from Stampin Up.

On the tag inside I have used a sentiment from Stampin Up. The stamp on the tab is from Inkido.

A Friend is someone...

..who knows all of your faults, but ♥s you still. 

I går fikk jeg laget et kort til Trykkpressas mai-utfordring. Det er vel ingen bombe at det ble et "Clean and Simple"-kort ettersom jeg liker den stilen veldig godt for tiden. Papirene er fra MME Quite Contrary serien. Båndet og grønn glitter-brad er fra Nille.

Den søte teksten er rub ons fra Melissa Frances. Tag'en er fra Crate Paper. Til bordene på sidene har jeg brukt min nye Dotted Scallop border punch fra EK Success.

I dag er jeg ute og koser meg i hagen med diverse som skal plantes og annet som skal ryddes opp i. Bilder kommer senere :)

A long talk with a good friend...

...can cure almost everything.

 

I love this sentiment and thought this and the sweet paper from 3ndypapir would be perfect for a card for a  sweet friend. For this card I used Laura's sketch #50 over at the 2 Sketches 4 You blog.

 The hanging sign is one of the new Sizzix dies from Tim Holtz. I love to play with it and it cut so well even throught this thick corrugated cardboard. I spreayed the sign and the hanger with Glimmer Mist Old Lace. On the sign I have also used a paper from an old book which is sprayed with Shimmerz Spray Barn Door. The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts and "Just 4 You" I wrote with different stickers and scraps.

 This beautiful sentiment is from Stampin Up.

 And inside the card I used a sentiment from Cornish Heritage Farms.

At the back of the card I used some of the other Tim Holtz Sizzix dies. My blog address has been written on my old typewriter.

Sukkersøtt # 73 - Til en venn

Det er tid for litt sukkersøt kortlaging igjen, og denne gangen er det venner som står i fokus. Oppgaven vi har til dere denne gangen er å lage et kort/prosjekt til en venn som inkluderer et dikt eller vers om vennskap (NB! dette skal ikke være et stemplet dikt). Så hvis du vil være med på utfordringen, så besøker du Sukkersøtt!

The Sukkersött challenge this week is to make something for a friend which includes a poem/text about friendship. The text can not be stamped!

Til mitt kort har jeg brukt papirer fra Ladybug & Friends(Spring has Sprung) og motiv fra The Greeting Farm. Blomsten er die cuts fra K&Company.

Papers are from Ladybug & Friends, stamp is digital from The Greeting Farm and the flower is die cuts from K & Company.

Her ser du hvilke farger jeg har brukt til å fargelegge motivet. De fleste tusjene jeg har brukt er Copics, mens det er et par Touch Markers også.

Here are the markers I used for the image. Mostly I used Copics, and the rest are Touch Markers.

I got mail...

Take a look at this BEAUTIFUL card I got in the mail today from my sweet friend Claudia! Isn't this just gorgeous!!! I love the layout of this card, the papers and Claudia's colouring is AMAZING as always! The card is even more beautiful in IRL!! Thanks sweetie!

Friends...

...are precious, and I love making cards to my friends and tell them how much they mean to me! Cornish Heritage Farms have some fantastic stamps which I use a lot on cards for friends. On this card I used two sets of sentiments and one background stamp.

This beautiful sentiment is from the Mona Lisa Moments - Friend Centers stamp set. I stamped it first on some watercolour paper. I then masked it and stamped with the Leaves #3 Background stamp. I sprayed with Shimmerz Spritz Olive Branch and Bamboo Leaf before I distressed the edges of the paper, used a Martha Stewart punch on the top border and sewed the edges on my sewing machine.

The flowers and leaves are sprayed with Olive Branch and Mudpie Spritz. I used some Crackle Paint underneath the flowers.

The small sentiment is from the Script Essential Expression stamp set. This is a very versatile set with sentiments for all occations! A must-have for a cardmaker;)

Inside the card i used one more sentiment from the Mona Lisa Moments - Friend Centers stamp set. And in the corners I stamped with the the Leaves #3 Background stamp. All edges of the papers are distressed and sewed. I sprayed the corners with Shimmerz Spritz Mudpie.

Always & Forever - Top 20 at the 2 Sketches 4 You 1st Annual Ultimate Card Showdown

This is unbelievable!!!
I got through to the next round in the 2 Sketches 4 You 1st Annual Ultimate Card Showdown! Thank you so much to all the judges who liked my my card and voted for it.
And then it's time for me to show you the card I made for the Top 20 sketch made by Laura.

Once again I made a vintage card. This one was really hard for me as I was quite nervous to make this card. It's getting harder and harder for each round I think. But yesterday I had a trip to Papirgleder, and that helped. When I saw the lovely papers from the Cosmo Cricket "Everafter" collection, I just knew how the card was suppose to turn out.
The music notes are from some old sheets of papers in my stash. All edges of the papers are distressed, sewn and inked with Distress Ink Vintage Photo.
The beautiful tag is also from the Cosmo Cricket Everafter collection. I cut it out and inked the edges with Distress Ink Vintage Photo.

I used a ribbon to hold the card together. Here you see how it opens.

The cute bird tag is also from Cosmo Cricket Everafter. Behind it I used a "cake napkin" and some laces. The flower is sprayed with Shimmerz Spritz Eucalyptus. The leaves and rose are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Bling swirls from Prima.

The beautiful tag was given to me by Maya. I think it fits so good with the friends theme of my card.

The sentiment is one of my favourites and it is from The Cornish Heritage Farms - Friend Centers. I stamped it one a tag from Cosmo Cricket Everafter :) Bling swirls from Prima, roses from Wild Orchid Crafts and a button from my stash.

Here I used a sentiment from SU - Flight of the Butterfly. The butterfly and flower stamps are from Tim Holtz - Visual Artistry.

And this is how I decorated the back of the card.

So now I just have to cross my fingers and wait impatiently until Sunday to see if I make it to the Top 10!?!?!

CCT #59 - Happy Mail

This week at Cute Card Thursday, the challenge is to make Happy Mail. I made this birthday card for Lene who turned 40!
I used some lovely papers from Stampin Up for this card. The stamp used is from Sugar Nellie, designed by Leanne Ellis.
The "frame" was made with Nesties Circles. Flowers are from Nille, Prima and MM.

This beautiful sentiment is from Stampin Up. I used my Nesties to cut it out.

The chipboard numbers was painted with Picket Fence white Crackle Paint from Tim Holtz, Ranger. When it was dry I srpayed with Glimmer Mist Old Lace.

All flowers are sprayed with Glimmer Mist Pearl and Old Lace.

Here you see the lovely image from Sugar Nellie. I used my Pro Markers to colour.

This is how I decorated the inside of the card. The sentiment is Inkadinkado.

SAV Challenge #03 - Circles

It is time for the 3rd challenge at the Stampavie Blog, and this time it is all about circles! Please make a card or any other selfmade item using at least one Stampavie image and circles in any way you can imagine.

I am Guest Design Team Member of May, and here is the card I made for the challenge!

I used three Leere Aldrich stamps from Stampavie. The image is called "Going Places" and the sentimentand the sun is from the set called "Sentiments B". All stamps can be found here.
The papers are all from the Basic Grey paper pad called "Urban Prairie".
The cute image I coloured with my Pro Markers. I used Nestabilities Circles to cut it out.

I decorated with a lot of buttons and flowers to add even more circles to the card!

SAV Challenge #01 - Sketch

ETA: In the newspaper today(paper edition) they have written an article about blogs, and mine is mentioned as the 3rd most read blog in my region last week!!!

2 Sketches 4 You - Fairy Song

It's time to show the Spring 2009 collection from Ladybug and Friends. And I'm showing you the first stamp by using Kazan's sketch 22 from 2 Sketches 4 You.

2 Sketches 4 You - Panda Friends

This card is made with Laura's Sketch 21 at 2 Sketches 4 You. The stamps(image and sentiments) I used are from the Panda Friends Stamp Set from The Greeting Farm. It is now on sale and you can get it for only $7(and it's EZ mounted!). I coloured with Distress Inks. The papers are all from Webster's Pages. The ribbon is from Nille and so is the big beige flower. The small flower is Prima. I also used a button and some scrappers floss. Swirl stamp is from Autumn Leaves.

Sukkersøtt Utfordring #2 - Vennskap

Så er det duket for utfordring nummer 2 hos Sukkersøtt. Denne gangen er temaet vennskap. Så du skal lage et kort med vennskapstema. Det må gå klart frem av tekst eller stempel på kortet at dette er til en venn. Mitt DT kort er laget til en venn som skal reise bort en stund. Så jeg brukte en del finne ord om vennskap og livet som hun kan ta med seg på sin reise! Kortet er hovedsaklig laget av papir og pynt som jeg fikk i juli-kit'et fra Bad Girls Kit. De tøffe papirene er Sassafrass Lass. I tillegg har jeg brukt rub ons tekster fra Melissa Frances, og Abstract Quotes fra Rusty Pickle.

And so it's time for the 2nd challenge at Sukkersött challenge blog. This week the theme is Friendship. So you must make the card so it's easy to understand it is for a friend. My DT card I made for a good friend who's going away for a while. So I filled it with nice words and sayings about friendship and life. It is mainly made with papers and embellishments from the Bad Girls Kit july edition. The cool papers are Sassafrass Lass, and I just love them. Look at those nice borders!! I also used some rub on sentiments from Melissa Frances and Abstract Quotes from Rusty Pickle. I have to tell my non-Norwegian readers that the challenge blog is not only for Norwegian cardmakers. It is international but the text is only written in Norwegian. So if you want to join, you can use one of the translaters on internet, or just ask me if you want me to translate something.
