On Strike!

I have just had it. I am tired and I don't want to do anything. I feel like I have been running around like a crazy person this week and just want a day to stay home. So, Elijah did all the dishes which ended with a huge puddle of the floor, but the dishes are in the dishwasher. Then I let Chloe and Ethan destroy the house while playing Uno with Elijah instead of doing his reading time. Then, I threw them all to bed and am enjoying quiet time. Yay. I have currently lost all desire to do anything, but thats ok I should get a night off.

Yesterday I asked Chloe to pick up her toys and she said "No, because I am the princess." Arg. Heaven help the man who marries her.

Today Chloe actually wore pants. For those that know her well enough this should be a huge shock! As we all know princesses only wear dresses. It was a definite accomplishment. I took her to the store yesterday and let her pick out a pair of jeans, and of course they have pink flowers and a pink belt. This morning she woke up so excited to show her friend Kelly at school her new pants. As soon as she got home she took them off and ran around in just a tee shirt. I guess I can't blame her I would stay in sweats my whole life if I could. So, I didn't get a picture. Maybe next time I get her to wear them.

So, the question of the day, how long do I make the other kids give in to Ethan. He is 16 months now and I am starting to notice the little stinker knows how to get what he wants. He screams and then looks at me to make sure that I can hear and am jumping to attention. Usually its because he wants me to make the other kids give up their toys. I hate to admit it, but I usually do because I am tired of the screaming, but now he is milking it. I have been telling him to say please and all that, not that he talks much, but for practice. I do give into him though because he is so much louder than my other kids ever were. It just seems to be a bad habit we have gotten our selves into. He is going to be so hard when the baby is born.

Oh Chloe! How funny, I need to see those kids! It is so hard not to give in when they are screaming! When he screams and he shouldn't be you should put him in his crib for a minute, my doctor told me to start it at one and I did with Brayden and it helped to calm his screaming down.
