A splash of colour #blogtoberfest13 day 19

We planted sprinkled a random pack of seeds around in the garden this year, a flower mix designed to attract bees and butterflies. These were the surprise of the summer, just 3 of these gorgeous plants grew in among the Poppies and Marigolds. There was just one in each colour and after asking around I think now they may be Asters, whatever they are they were a wonderful splash of colour and I adore them.

Zoo O'clock #Blogtoberfest13 Day 7

Morning, we are very lucky in where we live because we are pretty close to two wonderful zoos, Regents Park and Whipsnade. My littlest turns 3 very soon and as a treat we took the tiddlers to Whipsnade at the weekend. It was quite overcast but lovely and warm, possibly one of the last lingering summerish days of the year and a really lovely day out. We took a ride on the Jumbo Express steam train and saw the Sealions perform, they were brilliant.  Here are some snaps some of the super cool animals we saw....

Green and white flowers, a study in colour and form

I've been out and about in the sunshine taking snaps of lush green plants. Here is a little collection of green and white images with lots of interesting texture.

Daffs, a form and colour study

We have a forum challenge on the colour yellow over on Craft Pimp forum at the moment. It's safe to say that yellow is not one of my very most favourite colours, save for Vetrofond Banana Cream which is utterly delicious! To get inspired I took my camera out with me on the playgroup run this morning and here are my daffodil snaps...
