Hi guys, I've been super busy working on a mini album for a swap. BUT....I've been wanting to make a card and play with a Flourishes challenge.
This challenge, to make a center step card, was so fun!!! This is the first I've made one. I had this image colored for 2 weeks but didn't have a chance to make a card with it. I used some Basic Grey paper on kraft card stock. The color choice was from a photo inspiration Flourishes challenge 2 week ago. I colored it with copics then cut is out with spellbinders dies. Gonna keep this short! Have a good week.

Lilac.Beauty
Hi all, I'm back with another Flourishes Challenge! This one is a month long challenge so there is still time to play if you want. It's call the Beauty of Bling. Just include Bling and follow the posted guidelines, easy peasy!
Guess what? My Grandmother is 100 years old tomorrow!
Can you imagine? I made this card with her in mind but I'm not sure I can part with it! It took hours (mainly because I couldn't decide which of the pretty "Pink Paisley" papers to use) and is so pretty IRL....
I used the Lilac set which I won in the scavenger hunt on the Flourish Blog months ago and I hadn't inked it up yet. Love it! I colored it with the Copics below, cut it with an oval spellbinder. I loosely followed a mojo monday sketch from 2010. Ihacked up carefully trimmed a recollections bling swirl from Michaels to fit on the bottom of the card. It's sooooo yummy set off of the the black paper.
Question for you, for all that have one, do you think the Copic Air Brush System is worth having? I got one for Xmas but I may return it. It seems like alot of trouble. What do you think? I sponged the ink on the above oval. I think you would have to mask every image you color to airbrush it but not sure.

FlourishesTT.150.Trifold.CQ118.
Hi everybody, welcome to 2012! Time to put away the holiday decorations and start playing in some challenges! I decided to combine some challenges for this card, mainly focusing on the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday 150. The challenge is to make a tri-fold card using a tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers. It was fun and challenging since I've never made one like this. I had to line up the floral image, Fuchsias in Bloom to be viewed in the circle.
And I had to line up and cut the doily on the front too.
I followed this week's ColourQ Challenge. I may not have thought to combine these colors but it added to the fun. I looked up what colors a fuchsia plant could be and there are many. Not just fuchsia and purple.
I used my coral and reds to match the challenge and the papers. Link to colourq-challenge-118
This card also fits the Shabby Tea Room challenge #95 this week, a photo challenge with a twist, add something with wings!
Thanks for looking, friends! Kim
