Fireworks with the Fire Chief

The fireworks display was scheduled to be on our side of the river this year, so the fire department had to be nearby. That meant, fireworks up close for the Gallaher family! We got to ride with Daddy in the fire truck to the fireworks location and sit in our camp chairs to watch the display. Dad stood and chatted with his fireman friend the whole time, while the kids and I sat back and marveled at the bright display.
Happy Independence Day!

Out Town

The kids and I decided to go out and enjoy our little town. We first stopped to listen to some bagpipers and then made our way to a rock display. There was also a little petting zoo. They even got to check out a Jurassic Park Jeep.

Incognito

You may not recognize her because she is incognito, but I can reveal her true identity. This is none other than Oaklee Gallaher, who just picked out some awesome prizes from the treasure chest at the dentist.

Mud Puddles!

What could be more amazing than playing in a mud puddle?
Grayson and Oaklee discovered this delight. I did have to stop Grayson from drinking the puddle water though. Ha-ha!

Play Ball!

It was a day for more t-ball fun with this little gal. Grayson helped me cheer her on!

Sunset By the Mississippi

We met up with Grandma Church to watch the Sunset by the Mississippi show down on the flats. My cousin, Annette Baird, has a daughter who is serving a mission here as a member of the Nauvoo Brass Band. Her name is Shayla, and she plays the clarinet. It was fun to see her play.

The Children and Flowers are Blooming

The kids were so excited to play outside after church. What a beautiful day! And we are getting some beautiful flowers!

Library Activity

The little ones and I headed out on a hot day to a library activity at the city park. The kids all got to make hanging planets out of CDs, and had a lot of fun. They also played on the playground. I thought it was so cute to look over and see Zoie and her cousin Danny enjoying one of Danny's 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid' books together.
