STS#12: birthday card

Sharing a card today that I made for the Seize the Sketch challenge #12
Features a paper pieced cupcake stamp by Hero Arts and a paper pad by Simple Stories.
The hexagons were cut out of one of the papers.

Hey guys, I will be sharing a card drive in the next week for a little 7 year old girl here in Ohio diagnosed with ALL (a type of Leukemia) back in October.

Please stop back and check out the details.

I need to get the PO box and the drive will be off and running.
Maybe use the next sketch for a card for her?
I am offering prizes too!

Thanks,
Kelly

Valentines for "Cards from the Heart"

Hi there!
Today I am sharing some cards I made for the Cards from the Heart Card Drive hosted by Winter Sims.  This card drive is in its 5th year.  I used a variety of products for these.

The first card was inspired by Lin and her card I pinned HERE.
That heart is a punch I layered about 5 times.

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Your Future is Bright" stamp set that was a special release for Studio Calico.  The heart was stamped with red distress and embossed with clear powder for a nice shine.

The next two cards feature the same heart from the
"Your Future is Bright" set and sentiment by Hero Arts.

This final card contains a panel embossed with a
Cuttlebug embossing folder with a heart punched out.
That heart stamp is by Stampin' Up! That top panel is raised with foam.

Thanks for stopping by.
I hope you will consider submitting cards for the drive.
She needs them by the end of January!!
Great prize sponsors.

See you soon,
Kelly

Addison Update

Several people have asked about my friend's daughter, Addison, who was diagnosed with Leukemia back in September of 2012.  Last December was such a struggle for them as Addison was in the hospital much of that month.  A year later, she is still battling the cancer and her treatment plan goes until 2015, but they are doing so much better.

You can see her in a video linked.  She is the girl in the yellow and gray striped shirt.  There's a quick view of her at :08 and then she speaks on camera at 2:03.

The family appreciates the thought and prayers as
they continue to fight each and every day.
Thank you for your support, Kelly

Postcard Themed Card Set

Greetings!  Been a while.
I have been crafting a bit here and there, but no time to post.
Taking a minute today to share a set of cards I made to give as a gift set.
This set features Lawn Fawn "You've Got Mail" stamp, Simple Stories papers, Paper Smooches Sentiments, and net ribbon.  The inks were SU, Memento and Distress.

With so many layers of paper, these cards were nice and solid.
Thanks for visiting,

Random Cards

Very little crafting since I went back to work after being home for 10 years, but I have a few to share that I have made for specific occasions.

Lego card for boy's birthday:

Skylander card for another boy's birthday.
I took the image off the internet.
My son came up with the sentiment.
 The character's name is "Crusher".

I made two of these for my son's coaches this fall.

Hope to see you again soon,
Kelly

Flying By to Say HI!!

So as I sat in my craft room the other day deciding what to play with in the small amount of time I had, and I noticed the brand new pack of Project Life journaling cards that I had picked up at Michael's.  It is a pack of 100.
What on Earth was I going to do with a 100 of those cuties?
Amy Tsuruta had been posting a bunch of cards from one pad so I was determined to use one up!   (so I can buy a new one... wink wink...)  I grabbed an MME pad and the Lawn Fawn  "Flying By" stamps and went to town!

I stamped the planes on the cute papers and glued them to the journaling
card with the cute flight path.

Here's the pile.  There were a few papers left, but not many...
These may appear in gift sets later.  Most of my sets are coordinated, but I think it would be fun to give eclectic mixes this year.

Very busy with the new job as well as a course I am taking to renew my license.
I apologize for not being able to visit many blogs.
Class will be finished at the end of October and then I can play some more!
Until I can fly by again...
Thanks for visiting,
Kelly
