Where in earth has this month, this year, gone??? The new Scrapjacked challenge has been up for a while now, have any of you completed a LO yet? Here is my LO for the month, of the most recent addition to our family, my niece Tanika.

I haven't had too much time for scrapping lately but I have made a start on an album about our trip to the US last year using Destinations by Simple Stories. My biggest challenge has been choosing which photos to use. Thanks to the age of digital photography I managed to amass thousands of photos over the three week period. I am doing an album roughly 15cm x 20mm which I will put together with my new toy, a Zutter binder that I picked up for $45 on sale. I've wanted one of these for ages but the price had always put me off but now it is all mine :)

So what have I been doing with my time you ask, well I have been doing a bit of sewing with some great fabrics that I picked up at resource rescue. Here is a sneak peek.

I'll pop back with more photos soon I promise.
Thanks for stopping by.

Last minute entry....

Nothing like leaving it 'til the last minute. This is my LO for Scrap The Girls. The challenge was to use the word love in the title, turquiose as the main colour and chipboard.

February Scrapjacked

It's that time again, the new challenge is up over at Scrap Jacked. There are some fantastic prizes up for grabs from our wonderfully generous sponsors so come on over and be inspired by our clever design team.
My LO is of our recent trip to Disneyland and the iconic spinning teacups. Every time I look at this photo I want to go back and do it all again! DH has talked about taking the kids for years, but it wasn't on the top of my travel wish list, however after visiting with my family I have to say that I am smitten. It truly is a magical place.

Global Scrappers

Woohoo! I found my missing mojo! This LO is for a challenge over at Global Scrappers. I love a sketch challenge to get a LO done quickly, I can over think it all sometimes.

I am keeping my new years resolution too, to be in more of the photos that I take. I have even scrapped a few of them.

August already???

This year is flying by so fast! It is time again for a new challenge over at Scrap Jacked and there are some wonderful prizes to be won. I am constantly inspired by the talented ladies on the DT.
For my contribution this month I have gone back in time to a photo taken of me with my Dad at my 5th birthday party.  I could have edited the photo and fixed the colour but the orange hue combined with the outfits we were wearing really remind me of the era it was taken. I have been dusting off my stamps and also playing with my new distressing inks recently and have stamped and distressed all the papers and chipboard for this LO.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will join in this months challenge.

Boutique Stash Stomper

The stash stomper challenge on Scrap Boutique was to use 20 buttons or brads and they also gave a sketch to work with. It's not a sketch I would usually have been drawn to but I love how this turned out and I made a small dent in my button stash.
How cool is the photo booth app on the iPhone? It's not often that I like a photo of myself but these pics with Tan sum up our weekend away together perfectly. Lots and LOTS of laughter.

May Kraft it up

Here is my first LO from the weekend. This month challenge over at KIU was a LO without any patterned paper and there are some stunning entries already. I have painted, stamped, doodled, distressed and stitched on mine and I didn't even miss using PP!  I love this verse from Dr Seuss and it suits DD down to the ground.

BFF

Scrap Therapy's sketch challenge was set by Deb this month and I think it work's well with the bright colours
of these papers. These two girls are great friend who met in kinder and despite going to different schools they have managed to keep in touch and they just pick up where they left off each time they get together, which I think is the sign of a fabulous friendship.

SO sketch challenge

Two posts in one week, I'm on a roll lol. This one is for the March sketch challenge over at Scrapping Outback. I have used the lovely new range from MME, Stella Rose along with a few extra bits and pieces from my stash.
I am a bit slow getting these photos scrapped, DD just turned 11 this month!   So tell me, do you scrap your photos soon after you take them or are you like me and go back and forth between the new and the old photos.

March

The March challenge is up over at Scrap Jacked, with lots of fantastic layouts to inspire you.
This is mine....of my sweet niece on her first birthday. Congratulations to Sam for her winning entry last month.

I also needed to whip up a couple of cards this week, one for a wedding, which I forgot to photograph! (If you are reading this Rache, do you think you could send me a pic lol) I even used my handmade flowers on it. This one was for my daughter who turned 11 on Friday.

I have had a crazy couple of weeks, we have been so busy and I am having withdrawals from scrapping. I am determined to get at least one challenge done this week. I will have some great pics to scrap too, the kids are going on a flying trapeze today, we are all soooo excited!
Thanks for stopping by, I'll be back soon with some pictures of today's adventure.

Kraft It Up!

Now that the munchkins are back at school I have had a change to scrap, woohoo! I know I should be putting the house back together but I reeeeealy needed a bit of me time first. The housework can wait 'til next week can't it??
Anyway, I have been following Kraft It Up for ages now but have never gotten around to entering but that has all changed now. Here is my LO for this months challenge, I love the colours and I love that I already had all these goodies in my stash.
