Pamper Your-shelf

One of the managers at the library where I work, always brings me a Tim's coffee on the Saturdays that we work together... and I bring her a card.  So last night I pulled out this stamp & die set from Art Impressions and put two of these together:
This is one of the sweet Mini Try-fold sets called Pamper Your-shelf (Sku #4853) - and this is what it looks like when you pull it out of the envelope.  After untying the bow:
This is the top layer, which allows you to look deep inside the bookshelf, then open the top layer:
Here is the middle, and open it up to see...
The sweet little mouse reading a book in the middle.  Perfect for a librarian!
After colouring the images with Copic markers, I lined the inside flaps with patterned paper to hide the marker bleed-through, and recut the openings with the dies.  I mounted the try-fold onto a 4 3/4" square of cardstock and another coordinating piece of paper.  I adhered the organdy ribbon to the back of the card and tied it around the front.  You can find all of the Mini Try-folds on the Art Impressions website, here.

Cat Lady Try Fold Card

I haven't made a try-fold card in a while, and have been dying to use the Cat Lady TF (Sku #4340) from Art Impressions, so I had fun doing some colouring this weekend:
Here is the finished card, tied and ready to send... I tied a length of white organdy ribbon around the lower third of the card to hold it closed, and when it's untied, here is what it looks like:

Since the Copic markers bled through the white cardstock a little, I backed the inside with some fun polka dot paper, and fussy cut around the edges before mounting it all on some coloured cardstock.  There are quite a few Try-Fold sets to choose from in the Art Impressions store, you can find them all here.
Copics used: Skin/hair - E11, E00, E000, R20, R27, E57, E55, E53

Paper Piecing Party

Our current challenge on the Art Impressions blog is called Paper Piecing Party!  We want to see your paper pieced creations.  I have one of the fun Ai Girlfriend's sets to share today: Cheer Set (Sku #4547):
It's best to use smaller scale patterns for paper piecing, and even still, I opted to only piece two of their tops, for fear of it getting a bit busy!
Head on over to the Ai blog to see what the rest of the Design Team has to share with you today, and we hope you'll link up your own creation - there are always wonderful prizes to be won.

Copics used: Skin E11, E00, E000, R20
Hair - W3, W1, W00, Y26, Y23, E50, E18, E07, E02
