Deconstructed Sketch #127

Just under the wire here in getting a card posted tonight...  It's been a crazy 7 days, but I do believe that all of my commitments have ended, so I'm looking forward to a slightly more sane pace in the weeks ahead :o)  Scroll down to see a few pictures of one of the events that added to my crazy schedule this week.  Now for my card...  I used this week's Deconstructed Sketch, and one of my Art Impressions favourites, "Ugly Sweater":
and here's the fun inside sentiment:

Patterned papers are Very Merry Christmas, Echo Park; Cardstock is Kraft, Ruby & White Daisy, CTMH; Stamp set is Ugly Sweater, Art Impressions; Ink is Tuxedo Black, Memento; Copic Markers; Hemp, CTMH.
And here is what my daughter and I did with my brother-in-law yesterday.  It's called the Edgewalk on the CN Tower in Toronto.  We were 116 stories above the ground, on a platform that is 1.5m wide.  Even though we were securely harnessed in, I had a bit of a death grip on my rope (smile).  Paige loved it.  That's me in the red hat:

Reindeer Games & Ugly Sweater

The Art Impressions Design Team are all showcasing the new Christmas Stamp sets on our blogs today, in support of the current Ai challenge  - "Holly Jolly Christmas".  I just about flipped when I saw these two stamp sets... in general, I would say that there aren't a lot of humorous Christmas stamps on the market - but when I saw Reindeer Games & Ugly Sweater, they cracked me up!  They were also screaming for some very fun colours/papers, so here's what I came up with:

Oh, the possibilities with these two... stay tuned to my blog, you'll be seeing several more cards using them this season.  Here are a couple of close-ups:

For the Art Impressions challenge - we want to see your hilarious Christmas cards, so use a funny saying or image, and you just may win a fabulous prize!  Click on the icon below to take you over to the Ai blog.  Hope you can join us!
