I had some great opportunities for pics today.
This morning there was a light snow. Misty... almost like little shavings of ice and it glistened in the sun. As I was waiting for my car to get fixed I sat and watched it fall. Like glitter out of the sky. I didn't have my camera with me.
Then this evening as I was running errands I saw a moon dog. Beautiful. Oranges and yellows, and a little later as the sun was setting it did this awesome thing where the sun showed through the clouds and made a piller of light going up into the sky. Again I didn't have my camera.
So tonight as I was walking a guest out to her car I noticed how the snow was glistening from the street lights and I went and got my camera.
This is my last and final post for my Blog.
I am wishing you all a healthy and wonderful new year. May you make good memories and May the new year bring you lots of smile. And if you wish upon a star, (or a tiny shiny snowflake) may all your wishes come true.
Starting January 1, 2012 I will be taking the 365 day photo challenge. The challenge is to take photos everyday and post the best one. I was encouraged to take this challenge by a friend that did the challenge for 2011. I can't wait to see what great photo opportunities come my way in the coming year! These are my photos. Taken by me during the year 2012 I do not permit the use of my photos without my written consent. You can contact me at kat.riddle60@yahoo.com

#365 Celebrate uniqueness
Yay, the Christmas decorations are packed away. I still have some organization of the boxes to do, but I will save that for a later date.
I have a tradition that started when My mom passed away. The first Christmas after her death a friend gave me an Angel. When Christmas was over I just couldn't bring myself to put it away with the other decorations. In fact it stayed on a shelf for several years until we moved to Texas and I finally packed it with the other decorations.
Since then I have always picked one decoration that would remain unpacked for the whole year. A little Christmas all year long. ( yeah I know not a very cool thing for a GRINCH to do)
I never know which one it will be until I go to put them away and then I seem to find it. For whatever reason I seem to find the one that I just can't bare to part with.
Here is my precious decoration for this year. It was given to me by my best friend. It reminds me that she loves me regardless of my ups and downs. Regardless of my faults which are many. She sees my uniqueness and loves me for it. Thank you Lynda!
Every friend is like a snowflake, unique in beauty and design.
Each sparkles in a different way—some are playful, some refined.
But, unlike fragile snowflakes that fade when the sun appears,
friends grow even more beautiful with every passing year.

#364 Something sparkled in my moment of darkness
It has not been a good day! I won't go into the details other than to say it was one thing after another, Everything I tried to do turned out wrong.
But... Somewhere in the darkness, when I said I was done and was ready to just go crawl back in bed. I saw a sparkle out my window.
ICICLES
I use to love icicles as a kid. I remember them getting so big they hung from the eaves of the house almost to the ground. I am surprised we didn't kill ourselves trying to knock them down. (or at least put out an eye) Looking back it was kind of a dangerous thing for young kids to do. The trick was to knock down the biggest one without it breaking.
I really didn't think I was going to be able to pull of something positive today. But These frozen icicles did put a sparkle back in my eye.

#363 Thank you
As I near the end of my challenge I have to say Thank you to those that have supported me. Followed my post, and most of all those who have not only allowed me to take your pictues, but have provided me with some great material. One of these groups of People is the People I work with. I have stated before I love my job and the group of people I work with. We work hard and what we do is serious stuff. But, on rare occassion we find a moment where we just find ourselves doing something silly.
Today one of the girls brought in the dress she is thinking of wearing on New Years Eve. Brandon was nice enough to put it on and model for us. We all had our camera's out like the paparazzi and he played right along.
And so I bring you Brandon's new dress.
His May West Pose: : "Wanna come up to my place Big Boy"
Does this make my butt look fat?

#362 4 more to go
I was busy getting my car repaired and running errands today. It has been snowing on and off since Christmas eve. Here are some more winter pics.
I feel so sorry for these little birds when it snows. I don't think they can find very much food under all that white stuff. So when I know a storm is coming I make sure that the feeders are full.
They must know I am the one feeding them, or maybe they were just super hungry today. Because when I stepped out on the porch to take some pictures they didn't even bother to fly away.
I'll call this one morning sun on snow. The sun did manage to shine for a bit between storms today. I got this pic.
