Letterpress Invitations

I have another new invitation to share today, this time it's a letterpress wedding invitation I did for Minted, available right here. I love the way the impression of the printing plate looks in these photos, and the invitation is customizable with any of their ink colors.

I made the design with a linocut that Minted then turned into a letterpress plate, and they hand print each one (so these are printed in their studio, not mine). Take a look!

New Designs at Minted

We are back from Asia! It was an incredible trip (including an engagement!) and you can see lots of photos on Instagram. Now I'm back in the studio in full prep mode for the National Stationery Show once again. This is one of my favorite times of the year since I get to be in full product brainstorming mode. I'm currently poring over price lists and paper stocks and getting the new line ready for May.

In the meantime, I have a few new exciting products available at Minted, including foil-stamped wedding invitations! Foil stamping is a process I don't use in my own studio (it's basically putting real metallic foil onto the paper) so it's really exciting to be able to offer it through Minted. Take a look:

Custom Wedding Invitations

I've spent a lot of time this year working on custom wedding invitations, but it mostly goes on behind the scenes (although I occasionally share pictures on Instagram). but today I wanted to share the finished product on a few invitations I have worked on recently.

First up is Blake and Saiba's Indian-inspired invitations. They chose letterpress, and I hand-drew the border and the elephants for this wedding suite. I love the color palette of coral, navy and turquoise that they used.

For Ashley and Steven's Ontario farm wedding, I block printed a monochromatic floral design on the invitation. Their wedding was in a barn so they wanted a rustic feel that incorporated the sage color they were using throughout.

Doug and Katie got married at a vineyard and used a palette of purple and lime green. I actually created this design for them and liked it so much I debuted it at the National Stationery Show. Luckily I got to be a guest at this amazing wedding!

Karlyn and Andrew had a Minnesota summer wedding and wanted to use a light purple floral theme throughout, so I created this block printed border for them and finished it off with a light purple liner.

So that is a look at what has been going on behind the scenes here! I loved working on all of these weddings and will have more to share as they roll off the press!

New Wedding Invitations

I have three new wedding invitations available at Minted this week! Bold Block Print, Block Printed Floral, and Lace and Kraft are all now online. I think my favorite turned out to be the Bold Block Print in coral, it looks so summery and has me excited for warm weather again.
