I just put the binding on my last Christmas quilt, to be delivered tonight. I still have to clean up some loose threads, but this one is DONE! It's destined for my girlfriend's vacation home in northern Michigan, where I'm hoping it will be well used.
Where there's a photo op, there's Archie
I'm slowly but surely working my way through my rather large stash of flannel, specifically the pine tree print I used for the sashing and backing here. I had visions when I purchased the bolt of making oodles of snuggly flannel Up North quilts. This is #3, so I have a few more to go. How many constitutes an "oodle," anyway?

Strangely enough, I found a definition for "oodle":
One oodle is the quantity of matter equivalent to 18.000562073073073073 moles of a given substance, such as an element or food source. By each oodle that a quantity increases, the amount of matter increases exponentially with a base of 18 moles. This phenomenon is represented by the equation n(oodles) = 18n.
You can read more about the oodle here.... http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Oodles
By the way, beautiful quilt!!! Merry Christmas!
A beautiful gift, so warm and cuddly, perfect for a vacation home. I think Archie is rather sad to see it go.... Merry Christmas to both of you!
That's a great Up North quilt - perfect for snuggling with. I love your sashing fabric. What a sweet Christmas present! Archie looks so debonair sitting there.
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
I think an oodle is about 1/2 the amount of a boo-koodle, which is actually a rather large number.
lol
