Last day . . .

This is gonna be our last full day here in Latvia for 2007. We'll be flying out tomorrow for Manila. We will be spending the holidays there. We actually just came back from a 3 weeks holidays last month and we're going back again! Yipee!

Hubby was actually planning for a white Christmas this year, but they say there wouldn't be snow for Christmas. Good thing too 'coz it's hella freezing in here! Growing up in a tropical country, I never liked cold weather. Even in summer I sleep with sheets on me. It's just me. It can be hot as hell but I can never sleep without sheets or a blanket with me. So living in a totally freezing country is really a big deal to me! But I'm starting to like and love the place. Snow is cool. Looks good.

Anyways, one of the reason The Husband wants to go to the Philippines is to look for business opportunities. He wants to buy a business there and run it when (and if!) he retires. He's gonna go around Luzon first with a British friend of his, who in a way knows that part well. We'll be arriving on Saturday and will be staying in a hotel till the 26th, then he'll start his tour. Kaiden and I will stay at my parents house till Hubby comes back on the 5th of next month.

Everything is packed. At least that's what I think.

We're suppose to have dinner at this posh resto by the river, but Hubby forgot to book it. When we called late this afternoon, the place was already booked out. We called the hotel near our place, same thing. There was nothing in the fridge. Hubby don't wanna go into the Old Town because of the traffic and parking is a hassle there. It's advisable to go there by a cab but it's too freezing to go outside. So we just decided to go to Spice where there are good restos. We dine at Gan Bei. There's a Pinoy Sushi Chef there. I think he likes that we go there often because he's got someone to talk to . . . in Tagalog. He cooked a special meal for Hubby who is proudly in a diet! We had a nice dinner and went home.

Till then . . .

First

What does one put on the first blog? Hhmmm . . .

I've been reading blogs for quite some time now. It's fun 'coz I learn new things about everything. It's also a way to pass up time when I've got nothing else to do. Technology indeed has come a looong way!

I used to have a journal when I was a kid. It has been my silent best friend for years. Whenever I've got something that I just couldn't let anybody know, it was my journal who I turn to. I had it till college, stopped for a while, then had one again during my working years. I stopped it totally when I entered the wonderful world of motherhood!

I sadly burned my journals because of my constant change of residence. I placed them all at my cabinet in our family home. But since I can't bring those with me I decided to just turn it to ashes! Thinking back now, I don't know why I did it! I guess I was just afraid back then that somebody might read it!

It's nice reminiscing the past. Makes me remember my adventures, stupidity, crazy love life and heartaches, friends and the "past me". The "past me" which made me the "me" that I am today!
