Together forever

 Romantic paper quilling frame

Framed version

Hieee.... Its been a long since I last posted on here.... Oh I missed so many challenges and some amazing posts. But will catch up with everything soon. Yes , now I am back to routine.. Meanwhile I was busy with Diwali then week long 'Holiday in Singapore" . I was away from crafting since a month , but I have many things to share which I made before and could not upload due to rush.

This frame is custom order by a friend who wanted to gift it to his sis and her husband on their first anniversary . He wanted me to make a small and sweet frame which will show their love and togetherness. Me and my husband thought of many themes and finalized  this along with a garden chair around which I skipped later looking at the space.

The border is done using washi tape , rest all is paper quilling work , 'together forever' are alpha stickers on square bits of  paper.

Lady with quilled lilies

Framed version

Hi all , I took around 2 months to complete this frame , long long story  ;)
Once I was chatting with my sis on skype when we decided to try this after we saw it here .  Immediately  I started to draw its face and it was done in not more than 1.5 hrs . Oh , I was super excited to call sis back again to show and she was super glad and amazed to see it too . It turned out to be so delicate and innocent. Then started the hunt for kind of flowers we wanted to make for it . Ufff  we tried few techniques , few I didn't like , 2-3 she didn't like . .( so we took weeks to finalise the kind of flowers )  and selected this from a quilling book she won from a candy. This is so unlike me , as I don't think and plan a lot to make a project.
The yellow water coloring was a random and quick play.

Sorry for bugging you all with my story :p   but I had to share it.

We loved it. Hope you like it :)

Ganesha quilling

Hello friends , I have been working on this project since few days.. My version of quilled Ganesha. I selected a picture of Ganesha , sketched it and started to quill randomly. I have used shiny stones to make its jewellery . Done lot of bee hiving . Love the way its foot turned up.

** Please ignore the reflection over the pics as I forgot to take the pics before framing. Poor me , feeling so bad about it as I never fail to click pics of any of my smallest thing. **

My family loved it very very much.

Do let me know how you like it .

This used to be a ... Tray!!

Tray
Hello all .. Since I saw 'This used be a ...' challenge on lulupu , my thinking cap was on :P
And I came up with this wall decor converted from a tray. I removed the side handles of the tray , made lots of big malaysian flowers and leaves and here is my wall decor adorning our drawing room's wall . Yeah!! it got shifted from dining table to wall :P

Quilling for angel

Hi Friends, I have been making two big projects since few days. Sharing one of them today with all of you.

Once while surfing net I came across this sketch.

I found it very beautiful and planned to make a paper quilled frame with it. And this is the outcome . I must admit, it is more time taking task to decide onto colors , combination etc then actually making it. But the final outcome gives immense happiness and it increases with the comments from all you lovely people.

And yes, I can't take the credit alone without my dearest husband  and lavina di 's support and suggestions. Can't thank you enough for being with me.

Hope you like it!!

Aquatic theme frame !

Framed version

Self made embellishment

Hi Friends!!
This frame is very very close to my heart. It is made by me and my husband (surprised???).
Yes!! For our first wedding anniversary we wanted to do something memorable , So what is crazier than doing some craft work together!! We both decided this theme and tried to complete it till the date. Then , on the special day we enjoyed lovely candle light dinner together .

So here is our aquatic marine theme frame made for each other . :P  *wink*

The KJ (letters) are hand drawn , cut and then glittered on a local chart paper . We quilled lots of aquatic leaves , flowers and fishes and arranged them this way. I love that blue flower very much.

Do let me know how you like it.

Quilling frame

Hi... This frame holds a pic of size 8 * 10 (in inches) . This is a order from one of my friend for her friend's birthday gift . She ordered it at night and wanted to pick up next noon. As the requirement was a very simple frame in red and white , I came up with this . Though its lil difficult for me to keep a frame really simple... he he ;)

Experimented first time with two colored bk on a frame.

Hope u like it . :)

Big fusion :)

Hi... Today I am sharing the frame which is 'super close' to my heart. I made this project more than a month back. I am yet to frame this work.

This is again a fusion idea (warli+quilling). I am a great fan of Warli painting. For those who wants to know more about Warli - an indian art form click here.

I tried a card with similar idea long back here . So planned to make a BIG project this time. I am totally in love with this creative innovation of mine.  This is a perfect example of a midnight idea.

Lots of love to Lavina didi and my dear husband for tons of support.

Hope you like it.

If you like to create something similar inspired by this post of mine, feel free to go on. I will be highly glad. But please, give due credit to me for conceptualizing this idea by giving a  link to my work when you are inspired. Hope you understand.
