Cheerleader felt applique...

Somehow I forgot how much I LOVE to use felt as an applique. Seriously, just a little wonder under and my iron, I don't even need to sew it! The day of my daughters Cheerleader Birthday Party, I realized I didn't have a cheerleader oufit for her to wear, so I whipped this up in seconds. Okay really like 10 minuets, but it was so easy!

The playhouse...

This project was much easier than I thought. I used fleece for the entire house, so no hemming or finishing the edges. I got the ideas from the following sites.
homemade by jill
sew much ado
this and that
imaginative play toys

A few things I would have done differently... made the door open from the top like the one from homemade by Jill, and I would have Ironed on smaller details. I bought about 4 yards of pink fleece, and 2 of white. I had alot left over, but I used that for other parts of the house. My girls LOVE LOVE LOVE playing in this little house.

Felty Clips

I have been experimenting with felt and hair clips... I think it is my new favorite way to hair clippy!

The best part is the felt helps it stay put on headbands and in fine hair!

Holy Felty Cuteness....

So I know a darling, funny, and VERY talented girl, her name is Channing. Tonight she gave me this...
adorable TINSIE WIENSIE BUNNY made by hand, with FELT! I was dying when she showed me this little guy. She makes all kinds of bite sized animals... she also showed me a dog, with collar and leash mind you, and the smallest teddy bear I have EVER seen in my life. I just can hardly get over the cuteness factor. I do love tiny things.

a skirt for Lucy...

Once again, Dana from MADE IT inspired me to make this cute skirt, which was a little birthday gift for our friend Lucy. I think I will be making more of these. Felt is so GREAT to work with when it comes to appliques, that it will be hard to not get out of control!

I Love the pink and green together, I think it turned out quite nicely!
