if this was one year ago...
I would be blogging so much more.
So many things have happened in my life. So much so that i can't tell if i'm jaded or just lazy to update.
But here's something i've discovered. I'm a magnet for desperate old dudes roaming around Northpoint. I got stalked by one and got my nether-regions inspected by one in the toilet.
Oh dear, why can't old dudes just hook up since they're at the same place looking for the same thing.

I just realised...
I missed out the entire month of April! Haha!
Tsk tsk tsk... Birthday month and exams lumped together means no updates.
How i spent my birthday. Hmmm... I went out with schoolmates to Cafe Iguana and got high on margaritas and vodka by the riverside...
But the eve of birthday was spent nicely at a Jap buffet place. It was a good feeling. I wonder if i'll ever get that again with you...
You'll always be a part of me
I'm part of you indefinitely
Girl don't you know you can't escape me
Oh darling cos you'll always be my baby.

resurrection
Hey there. I know it's been awhile since i've touched this space. It's just, school's been crazy the last semester, what with cheerleading (yes, i'm a cheerleader now), theatre and exams.
Facebook has been keeping me away from this space as well. Photos are so easily uploaded there and i don't have to bother editing them! Thus i've been a tad lazy to come here.
Anyhoots, i'm in the midst of HOLIDAYS now! Yay! But i'll be busy busy for the month of May. Everyone who wants to get me out can start doing so in June or July ya! Yes, the holiday's fucking long! And i'm not working! Boo no money. Sponsorship anyone?
Since exams have ended, i've been a bad boy, clubbing on Thursday and Friday, nearly getting into a fight on the former. Luckily my cheerleaders stood by me. Saturday met with the Chas for margaritas at Cafe Iguana and i had a hangover at 8pm. Sunday was bacca's birthday and we went to have dinner at swensons and played Wii at cine! Fun shit anyone up for Wii outing?
I'm so summarizing my days. Haha! No pictures! Everything is on facebook. If you've not got me on facebook then BOOYA!

bile tastes bad
Have been on a drinking binge since the 1st day of CNY.
Drank abit at Clarke Quay with Evon, Bacca, Clara and SX and got high. Took gazillions of pics. Lazy to post.
Drank more at Jevon's party. Insulted a couple of strangers and fell asleep on the bed. Started snoring and it didn't help that the movie they were watching turned out to be an art house-ish film with silent scenes where everyone could hear me snore in between. Answered bacca's call and had no recollection of it whatsoever. Woken up by a complete stranger who smiled at me and politely informed me that i was snoring. And i mean stranger. I knew no one except for the birthday boy and another guy.
Drank obscenely at Karen's place with said person, Nigel, Lisan and Biyi. Rebacca left early and Richard didn't drink. Played "I have never...", my new favourite drinking game. Got fucking red in the face. Eyes went bloodshot. Lisan was no better, puked twice in the toilet bowl. I have never puked, i happily informed the rest. Karen's mum got pissed, even thou i said she looked like her sister. Cabbed home with Biyi and reached home with no recollections of her alighting. Managed to pay to driver after 2 failed attempts and stumbled home. Went to the toilet and stoned abit after removing contacts. PUKED all over the shower area and choked the drain. Had to remove with toilet paper in my drunken and blurry vision-ed state. Bathed and hit the bed. Doesn't end there. Started hallucinating about drinking, like i was still at Karen's place. Was talking to myself, telling Lisan to stop drinking and telling the others to stop making me drink and that i wanted to back out of the game. Fell asleep, but woke up ard 3 hours later to blog this.
Going to house hop with the sec sch gang. I predict drinking in the near future.

only recently
I've kept getting questions like "Hey, are you pure chinese?" or like "Are you mixed?" from people in school. And it's only in this semester have i received such queries from the people i just got to know.
Anyway, you know how when you go to your relatives house or when your relatives come over, and you've not seem them for awhile, they're sure to comment on your looks?
Well normally they'd say "Eh boy/girl, you slimmed down already ah/become hensum/pwetty already ah?"
Well, my aunt came over for reunion lunch (i have reunion lunch with my maternal side relatives and dinner with the paternal side) and the first thing she said upon seeing me was "EH JUNYI! You go for plastic surgery ah!"
"Erm, no?"
"Last year you don't look like that leh..."
"... -_-|| ..."
During last year's CNY:
Just a lil fatter, hair a lil shorter, a lil more pimplier and wearing specs.
No diff right?

Think of the hugeass goreng pisang that they could make.

occupational hazard

Usually when i channel surf and i stumble upon Chinese opera on Channel 8, i'd immediately think, "Eyer, next!"
This morning, when i stumbled across Chinese opera, i automatically switched back to some lame show on Channel 5, then did a double take back to 8.
You see, i'm involved in a theatre production that is based on a Chinese opera, so i need to research on the movements and sets. Come watch it ok?

pantang?
Yesterday i came into contact with something i've never ever thought i'll ever actually get on my hands.
Think MacD's Strawberry Sundae's syrup.
Produced monthly.
By females.
Someone told me that it could bring me bad luck.
I do not wanna lose during CNY's gambling period.
Think happy thoughts!

Advertorials for friends
This is for the girls!
Ever felt like shopping but was too lazy to go out? Of cos you have!
Nothing to wear to school, to town or on a date? Don't fret! Online shopping's the way to go now and I have the website for you!
Absolutle Charm has absolutely charming dresses for girls with different tastes! Just click here to check it out!
Worried about whether they will cheat? Nvm, i know the girl, so if you don't get the goods, just tag here and i will personally hunt her down and demand an explanation.
Ok that sounded a lil too scary.
Anyway, i dunno who's the person that tagged on my tagboard, but i guess you can go take a look as well, but that one i no guarantee ah!
---------------------------------
This is for everyone!
Short of cash? Can't work fixed hours because of school? Well then you should take up tuition! It's the job that most Uni students swear by anyway.
IWantA is a tuition agency and they're hiring! Go to their website to see details on how to sign up!
There's no harm in signing up with one more even though you've signed up with a gazillion already. I signed up with a gazillion and i only have 1 student now anyway.
This one i dun dare to guarantee anything cos, well, students suck not the agencies fault. Haha!
Ok la, i'm exhausted. Haven't been typing here for so long and you all dunno what's happening in my life already! Haha! I think it should stay that way awhile longer.

happy new year!
I know this is very lag, but i've not been in the blogging mood for too long, i forgot how to blog!
I've got lots to update and a million pics, but i feel like why bother, no one's interested anyway.
Maybe i should stop blogging. Let this place die off a slow, quiet death. It's in progress anyway.

i cannot do cartwheels
But apparently i can do the rest of the jumps and stunts. I just have to get used to the 1, 2, down, up timing and catching girls falling out from the sky without subconsciously siam-ing.
Yup.
Oh! I forgot to mention that i was at cheerleading training camp over the course of Friday and Saturday?
I am now aching in places i never thought i had muscles.
But it's fun fun fun! Never expected myself to be able to do such stuff, but it seems like i an catching up pretty quickly. One of the more senior guys even commented that i should join dance.
Ha! He must be kidding! Me + dance is a combi i'd never have thought up! I always thought i had 2 left feet. Apparently not quite.

i am confused but damn the increased taxi fares
"As part of responding to customer feedback that taxis are hard to come by and the surcharges are confusing, ComfortDelgro taxi company added MORE surcharges effective Monday, 17 December 2007.
For fun and laughter, here is a summary of the review:
City Area Surcharge: up from $1 to $3, effective 5pm and midnight from Mondays to Saturdays.
Late Night Surcharge: up from the staggered 10% to 50% current one, to the flat 50% extra for rides between 12 midnight to 5.59am daily.
The fun part is, this 50% more at midnight deal was the original plan before going staggered. Neither solved the problem of disappearing cabs at 11pm to 11.59pm.
And if you think the silly $3 City Area surcharge is going to solve things, good luck to you. And also, what about the disappearing cabs OUTSIDE the CBD?
Peak Period Surcharge: up from the $2 flat fee now in effect between 7am and 9.30am on weekdays and 5pm to 8pm from Mondays to Saturdays, to 35% of the metered fare.
And the company says, a detailed breakdown of this extra "premium fare" will be shown on each receipt "to ensure transparency".
Why is it called a premium fare? Does the cab become a first-class cabin at those surcharge hours? Does the driver speak nicer to you? If anything, the surcharges are not premium fares, but just punishment fares.
Flag down fare: up by 30 cents from $2.50 to $2.80 for the first kilometre.
Distance fare: up from 10-cent jumps to 20-cent jumps.
Waiting time: up from 10 cents per 25 seconds to 20 cents per 45 seconds.
Only the prime time booking fee is going down from $4 to $3.50.
So if you call for a cab from the city, at 8pm on a Friday night, you are going to pay $10.30 even before the cab moves off ($3 City Area surcharge, $2.80 flag down, $3.50 call charge, $1 or 35% of metered fare for Peak Period surcharge).
If you happen to be in the city on a weekday, only 8.5 hours of your day is surcharge-less.
Between 5pm to the next morning from Monday to Saturday, you only have a four hour window, 8.01pm to 11.59pm, where you don't get charged an extra % of your metered fare."

what is our national treasure?
Unless you don't speak English, i'm sure you know of the box office hit, National Treasure! But do you know that National Treasure 2 is coming soon!?
It's called National Treasure, Book of Secrets.. Wooo... Like Book of Shadows, but more secretive!
Check out the trailer HERE.
Anyway, i was wondering if we actually have a National treasure of our own and the first thing that came to mind was the Merlion.
You know, after taking Changing Landscapes of Singapore and learning about National symbols and stuff, i kinda have a second take on the Merlion.
At first, all i thought was that it looked funny. Got mermaid, merman then now merlion!
But apparently, the merlion was coined by this person that took part in the STB's competition to create a logo/mascot for Singapore. The man won because the merlion incorporates myth and reality. The lion head symbolised the myth of Sang Nila Utama and how he claimed to have seen the majestic beast when he came to our island, and the fish tail stood for the origins of Singapore as a fishing village.
Bet some of you didn't know that!
Ok i know this is a cliche National treasure, but what else is more significant than that?
Maybe Xiaxue, blogger queen extraordinaire, can be our National treasure instead. She did pave the way of blogging, sorta.
Maybe our enterprising STB can erect a monolithic statue of her squirting water out of her mouth one day.
