Forever Friend

Hi everyone today for my DT card at Cheery Lynn Designs I am sharing some Vintage inspiration on my latest Forever Friend card.

My papers used on this card are from Lemoncraft. I started by cutting out my Stacker Layers, sprinkling some copper embossing powder onto my paper and heat setting for a shabby feel. I tattered and inked my faux stitched layers, layering onto my card with my beautiful die cut Doily as an accent in the background.

My image was die cut out using my Stitched Circles adding copper embossing powder to the edge to frame it, adding an accent of cheesecloth and layering onto my die cut layers.

I have small Whimsy ticket stamps that I stamped with Archival Ink and shaded with Distress Ink, I die cut out and tattered the edges slightly with my scissors.

My flowers were shaped on my Embossing mat and once the glue was dry I added some Distress Ink to the edges for definition. Finishing my card with a touch of lace and pearls.

Let Life Surprise You

Hi everyone, thanks so much for your lovely comments on my previous post and a warm welcome to my new followers. We are having some beautiful warm weather here in Scotland and long may it last. Today for my DT card for Cheery Lynn Designs I am showcasing the wonderful new Rooster and the Floral Bouquet Kit which has beautiful flowers and amazing foliage dies in the set.

As you can see I decided to turn my Rooster into a Weather Vane, so let me take you through my steps.

In this photograph I had embossed the two middle sections and the right hand rooster on my mat to fluff out the feathers. Layering them onto my flat die cut rooster.

I finished off with a complete Rooster on the top Layer.

This photograph shows the elements I cut out from the Ships Compass, you will see I also cut the letter 'S' so I could have it in a different position on my Weather Vane. I also painted a Barbecue Skewer with Black Gesso and used two arrows from my fun with arrows set trimming the point off one and the tail part off the other.

I then hid my join behind the Barbecue Skewer.

My floral arrangement I added Glossy accents to my Berries and my yellow flowers have Flowersoft in the centres.

I finished my card off with steampunk corners, touches of bling and small dried cream flowers.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, you still have time to enter the Current Challenge - Lots of Layers to win a $20 shopping spree at Cheery Lynn Designs. Good luck to all entering.

Cheery Lynn Designs May Release 2016 - Blog Hop

Hi Everyone, thanks for stopping by today. We are all so excited at Cheery Lynn Designs to be sharing with you our inspiration using the new May 2016 release. I am first up on the blog hop but if you get a little lost on route please just link back to Cheery Lynn Designs.

I was so excited to find out there was a few new birds in this latest release. If you follow me regularly you will know how much I adore Cheery Lynn's Bird dies and this Swan is an absolutely beautiful die to work with, filled with grace and elegance for any crafty project.

I die cut out my Swan 5 times in heavy cardstock and on 3 of the layers I cut off the head and neck part.

You will see on this photo I fluffed out the feathers to give a 3 D look and started to layer on 3 die cut body parts, finishing off with a complete Swan on my top section.

I shaded the Swans beak with Black and Orange Copics and a Fineliner pen to highlight the detail. Finishing off with a small drop of Black Liquid Pearls for the eye.

My background was shaded with Distress Inks, adding my Cattails and Reeds which were finished off with a little Flower Soft and Distress Glitter.
You will also notice a touch of Glossy Accents on my wave for a watery look.

My Sun was made from the  Sunflower Die adding a stamped sentiment to the centre, finishing off with a few Dragonflies.

I'd love for you to leave me a comment so I know you have stopped by, I always love to read them.

Please carry on this hop where you will see more of the New Release dies showcased by my Teamies. Finishing back at Cheery Lynn Designs for a chance to win a $20 shopping Spree.

Your next stop on the Blog Hop is my talented Teammie LISA.

Life's A Beach

Hi everyone and welcome to my new followers, today for my DT card I'm showcasing some more of the wonderful New Release dies at Cheery Lynn Designs with this beach scene card which could easily adapt for Memory Books and Scrapbook Pages.

I die cut my Life's a Beach in brown cardstock - notice the fabulous texture of it looking like an old washed up log on a beach, so cool. I mounted on to a piece of white cardstock which I had inked with shades to compliment my card. I then went around the outline of the letters with a Glaze pen to make them 'pop' and added a little twine.

My waves were layered twice adding some shells and a little starfish which I coloured with a Copic Pen.

My Reeds and Cat Tails were cut out in coloured cardstock adding in some dried grass from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by today and for all your wonderful comments on my Perfume bottles, they made my day.

Halloween Fun

Hi Everyone, Halloween is fast approaching so I thought for my DT post at Cheery Lynn Designs this week it would be nice to share some inspiration with you all.

I decided to make my own inky background. You will notice from the photograph I taped my die cut in place along with the die, applying my Distress Inks and a Web Stencil for depth.

I then went around the perimeter with a Black Fine Liner Pen before lifting my die cut off. This helps to frame your inky detail.

My web I added some ink along with some Rock Candy Distress Stickles, double layering Happy Halloween for a Shadow Effect.

My tree was cut out in White Cardstock, inking the edges and adding Distress Stickles to the Black Cardstock for an eerie glistening effect, off setting my tree I glued in place.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today and I will be back on Monday with some exciting news to share with you.
