Going Away Card

A lady at work left last week (she worked for our tree contractor), so of course I had to make her a card with trees on it!

The base of the card is Early Espresso CS and I did the triple layer technique using Crumb Cake CS.  We've had several card swaps using the technique and I've seen it on a lot of blogs, so cute and much easier than it appears!  The Stamp Set I used was one of my all-time favorites: Lovely as a Tree.  I drew the little bird in free hand.  The inside stamp is from the Word Play Stamp Set.  The ribbon is Chocolate Chip Scallop Dot.  I cut the words for the inside with a Window Frame Collection Framelit.

Cordlan's Birthday Card

Our Grandson's Birthday is on Easter this year, Sunday, April 8th.  This is the card I made and we sent to him.

I used Early Espresso CS for the base of the card.  The next layer is Soft Suede.  I used the paper pack for the two strips behind the image and stamped onto Very Vanilla CS with the Rue Des Fleurs Stamp Set and the Happy Birthday is from Happiest Birthday Wishes Stamp Set.  A strip of Baja Breeze Satin Pleated Ribbon across the bottom.  I colored the pen with Stampin' UP! Crayolas and the Blender Pen.  Hope he has an awesome Birthday and Easter.

D's Birthday Card

Here's the card I made for my Daughter's boyfriend.

I used Early Espresso CS for the base layer.  The paper on the right is Everyday Enchantment DSP and on the left is Well Worn DSP.  The greeting is from the Perfectly Penned Stamp Set.  I used the Lace Ribbon Border Punch with Early Espresso for the design down the side and on the inside.  The ribbon is Pear Pizzazz Pleated Satin.  The little flower was punched out of Calypso Coral using the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch.  I put a Brad in the center of the blossom from the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon & Brad Pack from the Sale-a-bration Catalog.

The idea came from Lianne Carper's site CARD Scraps.  She has some beautiful creations, check out her site.

Hope D likes his card, I'm sure he will, he's a very creative guy and has great taste ~ LOL ~ he loves my Daughter and my Grandson!
